This time, the boy’s father seemed spooked by something. He yanked the chubby kid away and walked off without another word. The boy’s mother only shot Freya a glare before following him.

Freya rolled her eyes. As if I even care enough to waste my breath on them. With manners that poor, it was no wonder their kid ended up like that. Frankly, the little brat had it coming.
“Don’t mind them,” Freya said, turning to Aiden. “You’re the best. Keep going–I want to hear more.”
Aiden snuck a glance at Louis and noticed he was watching him calmly. A strange chill ran down Aiden’s back. What if Uncle Louis did something behind the scenes? That’d explain why the family left in such a hurry… Only Freya still thinks Louis is some tragic figure to be pitied. I know better–my uncle still has serious pull. Cleaning up people like that is probably child’s play for him.
“What’s wrong?” Freya tapped Aiden’s forehead. “Why are you staring at your uncle?”
“Oh, nothing! I thought he was going to give me some feedback.” Aiden snapped back to the present and resumed his explanation. “The coolest part of my project is that it can basically be used infinitely. After the electrolysis happens, it can go through another round of reaction and be reused again. So it’s a full cycle–saves energy and materials, plus it’s eco–friendly. Super cool.”
Louis nodded slightly. “Not bad. You’ve got the right idea.”
