Chapter 122 Lunchtime Encounter

Thanks to Aiden stepping in, Freya didn’t dwell on the earlier disagreement. The three of them strolled around the campus for a bit. By the time it was past eleven, Aiden, eager to show Freya his favorite lunch spot, tugged on her sleeve and said he was hungry.
Under Louis‘ cool gaze, Aiden clung to Freya’s jacket and pleaded, “Freya, I’m kinda hungry. Aren’t you? Our cafeteria food is really good–you should try it with me.”
Freya wasn’t hungry. She didn’t have much of an appetite and had deliberately eaten a big breakfast. But seeing how excited Aiden was, she didn’t have the heart to say no.
“Well, now that you mention it, I think I could eat. Let’s go.”
As it turned out, the school’s cafeteria was just as luxurious as the rest of the campus. Freya had assumed it would simply have a wider variety of good food. What she hadn’t expected was a whole array of snacks on display.
“Are all these snacks really okay for kids to eat?” she asked, raising a brow. “Aren’t they usually high in salt and oil? That can’t be good for growing kids.”
“They’re specially made,” Louis replied, grabbing three cards from the reception area and handing one each to Aiden and Freya.
Freya quickly caught on–this school didn’t just offer typical junk food. Everything was customized with students‘ health in mind. Even the pasta didn’t look too spicy, and the sauce likely wasn’t too acidic. The dumplings were small and refined, clearly a healthier version. It was obvious the school took meticulous care of its students.
“Freya, what do you want to eat? I’ll go get it for you,” Aiden said eagerly, eyes locked on the pasta like it was the holy grail. His whole face was screaming I want it so bad. Freya made up her mind on the spot.
Freya had just started smiling in delight when she caught Louis standing silently beside her. Her smile froze. Oh no… the kid forgot about his uncle.
