Violet sighed. “Maybe other people don’t get it, but you should. Sure, we’re called celebrities, but most of the time we’re just there to look good and smile for the camera. It takes years to build a name and one misstep to wreck it. That’s nothing compared to real power. Someone like Mr. Graham? Even my boss wouldn’t dare cross him. I’m just looking out for you. If you don’t want to listen, that’s your call”

Thomas raised a brow. You always act so carefree and delicate. Didn’t expect you to be this sharp underneath.

Violet rolled her eyes. “You think I could’ve landed a lead role by being clueless? I don’t have a fancy background. Getting this far wasn’t easy. You either wise up or get pushed out.” She smirked. “And seriously, look at Ms. Stone–does she seem like someone any regular guy can land?”

Thomas lifted both hands in surrender. “Alright, alright, I get it. If she’s got ties to Mr. Kendrick, I’d have to be out of my mind to mess with her. Sure, she’s stunning, but when it comes to choosing between beauty and my future? I’m picking my

career.

Thomas said all the right things, but deep down, he couldn’t help feeling a little disappointed. Still, he knew better than to push his luck–if Freya was off–limits, he’d just find someone else to have fun with later.

“Good. Let’s keep it that way.” Violet’s voice dropped. “And let’s never speak of this again. Ms. Stone is talented, kind, and pleasure to work with. That’s all anyone needs to know.”

Still, Violet couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. Some women really were just born luckier. No matter how hard she tried, she knew she’d never marry into a wealthy family. And even if she did, it’d probably be with an older man who already had kids -and a guy like that was never going to love her for real.

She couldn’t help feeling a little envious of someone like Freya. Even if things weren’t perfect behind closed doors, Mr. Graham clearly cared enough to send Kendrick to back her up. That kind of support spoke volumes.

At the end of the day, it that what every woman wants? To feel safe and secure?

“Relax,” Thomas said with a crooked smile. “Ms. Stone and I are getting along just fine.”

At dinner. Zane offered a cheerful suggestion. “Kendrick, why don’t you take Freya out for dinner?”

Freya hesitated. There was still a lot of work to get through, and they were shooting more scenes later that night. If she left. Daniel would be swamped. It didn’t feel right

Before she could reply, Kendrick waved it off. “Nah, too much hassle going back and forth. I’ll just pick something up and bring it back. You all keep working–I’ve got it covered.”

Freya tried to stop him, but he was already gone by the time she turned around..

Half an hour later, Kendrick returned, trailing behind a delivery guy carrying several bags of food Enough for Freya, Zane, Daniel, and the assistant director.

Kendrick had gone all out–everything he ordered was top–notch, made special by the restaurant at his request. Zane appreciated people like him: they came from a powerful background but didn’t throw it around. Sure, everyone on set knew what was really going on, but Kendrick kept it respectful and never made it awkward. That kind of tact went a long way.

Zane chuckled as he took the food. “Kendrick, you really do treat Freya well. But how come we haven’t seen Louis in person! Still tied up with the game launch?”

“You have no idea,” Kendrick said with a smirk. “He’s swamped. You’ve seen how crazy the game’s taken off. Just the pod orders alone are backed up for a week–and that’s with tons of people still waiting to try it out. Once they do, the numbers are „gying to explode,”

He wasn’t hiding anything. Sooner or later, they’d all find out anyway.

Zane chuckled. “Man, Mr. Graliam’s built different. Came back strong like it was nothing. If my kid had even half that hustle, I’d have nothing to stress about.”

Kendrick grinned. “Hey now, don’t sell him short. The way he plays music? That’s talent too. Not everyone’s built for business. People have different strengths. No point comparing
