Chapter 252 You Looked Beautiful
Chapter 252 You Looked Beautiful
“Cut! Perfect!” Zane waved excitedly at Freya. “That was amazing–you brought the character to life!”
Wanting to maintain the momentum, Zane immediately had the crew set up for the next scene. By the end of the afternoon, Freya had finished all her shots.
Except for one take that needed a second try, everything else was done in a single go.
Once the High Priestess‘ scenes were wrapped, Freya finally relaxed.
I can finally take off the makeup–I’m exhausted. The back–to–back close–ups and wide shots had drained me emotionally.
“Great work today. Go get cleaned up and rest. You really pulled through for us.” Zane finally felt a little guilty.
For a complete novice, shooting so much in one afternoon had been a lot to ask.
“It’s fine. At least it’s over now.”
Freya removed her makeup, changed, and went to find Louis.
That evening, the two ate out, then stopped by a supermarket for snacks before heading back to the hotel, satisfied. Since Freya wasn’t in the mood to write, they decided to watch a movie instead.
“Oh, didn’t you say you had something to tell me?”
Curled up on the couch with Louis‘ arm around her, Freya suddenly remembered. She sat up straight, facing the movie screen, snacks spread across the table.
“Yes, there’s something.” Louis paused the movie, opened his laptop, and pulled up a folder. “Waylon sent this yesterday. Someone tried to leak it, but he intercepted it.”
Freya clicked through–and froze when she saw photos of Clement and her body looking intimate. She hurried to explain, “That’s not me! I wasn’t even here yet. That’s from when the original owner was dating Clement.”
“I know it’s not you. I already told Waylon to find out who’s trying to sabotage you. I just thought you should know.”

Chapter 252 You Looked Beautiful
Louis wrapped an arm around her waist, giving her a reassuring pat
“Also, before I married her, I did some digging. I didn’t pay much attention at the time, but from what I remember, Clement was the one who wronged her first. She only agreed to marry me out of spite, right?”
“Probably. Clement’s trash. The original owner was actually a decent person–she really loved him. Even though he acted rich, he never spent a dime on her. Worse, he kept taking advantage of her. And when he realized he couldn’t have her, he started calling her a gold digger. She was completely wronged.”
Freya sighed.
“That’s why she decided love was worthless and only money mattered. She became the kind of person who only cared about cash. But even then, she wasn’t happy. She knew how people looked down on her–she just didn’t know how to change.”
Louis nodded thoughtfully. “I guess I share some blame too.”
Freya wanted to say he didn’t, but the words stuck in her throat.
“Anyway, it’s all in the past. When we have time, we’ll burn some offerings for her. Maybe light some incense.”
“Who knows? Maybe she transmigrated to another world too.” Louis thought of Freya’s situation and suddenly wondered.
“Even if she did, descendants‘ offerings can still reach their ancestors, even after reincarnation.” Freya said it with complete seriousness.
“Alright, we’ll do that. I’ll make sure someone leaves offerings for her during the holidays.”
