Chapter 273 Plastic Surgery Denials.
“This mall just opened not long ago. You’ve never been here, and she definitely hadn’t either
The she was obviously referring to the original host. Freya nodded. “Oh.”
It wasn’t until she actually got to the luxury section that Freya realized how little she really knew. She couldn’t make heads or tails of any of it. Well, these definitely look expensive.
Freya understood that was an illusion. Luxury goods looked expensive, but that didn’t necessarily mean the quality was any better. These were disposable items made for the rich.
That was the essence of luxury, everyday items for the wealthy. When you had money, it was all about how things looked and whether they had status; no one really cared about durability, after all, they barely used anything more than once.
Aiden didn’t seem all that interested in any of it, but he liked to think of himself as considerate and charming.
“Freya, you really ought to start putting more effort into how you dress. Back when my uncle didn’t have money, sure, it made sense, But now that he does, you should really start dressing up. Going out in cheap clothes? It hurts me just to look at you–and I’m sure it hurts my uncle even more.”
“Dore
it really look that obvious?” Freya glanced at Louis, then looked back at Aiden.
Aiden nodded solemnly. “Of course. It pains me to see it. And it must pain uncle even more. It’s not like we can’t afford the good stuff anymore. You should buy more–and rotate outfits every day. No repeats.”
“That’s a bit much,” Freya muttered, suddenly picturing a peacock fanning its feathers.
“It’s not too much. Just buy more whenever you can,” Louis chimed in, king Aiden up with a perfectly straight face.
Freya sighed in exasperation. “Alright, alright. I’ll buy, okay?”
She had thought she’d just grab a few items, but Louis and Aiden clearly had a different idea They were on a mission to buy her everything–and it was overwhelming.
couldn’t take it anymore and quickly stopped them. “At least let me take Eventually, Freya my time picking stuff out! If you two keep this up, you’ll take all the fun out of shopping.”

In just a few minutes, Aiden had picked out seven handbags for her, and Louis had selected eight outfits. She hadn’t even tried them on; she didn’t even know what half of them looked like. Back when Freya bought clothes or bags, she would spend forever comparing. This “grab and go” strategy was just too much for her.
Aiden stopped reluctantly; Louis also stepped back, telling the sales assistant to pause as he handed control over to Freya.
Seeing both of them watching her, Freya remembered that most men didn’t like shopping anyway. She pointed toward the tea area nearby. “Why don’t you two go rest and have some tea? I’ll handle this.”
Louis still wanted to keep her company, but she shut him down firmly. “If I need your opinion, I’ll call you over. Go now–you’re distracting me.”
The two of them had no choice but to follow orders and head to the tea corner.
Only then did Freya finally breathe easy and take her time browsing. If they kept shopping like that, there’d be no point in coming to the mall–they might as well just buy the whole
store.
After browsing for a bit and trying on a few outfits, Freya found herself showered in compliments. The sales associates surrounded her with nonstop praise.
These salespeople had clearly been through intense selection and training to even work here -their service was impeccable. Freya actually felt like the compliments were genuine, and after a while, she almost believed she really was a drop–dead gorgeous beauty.
She had just stepped out in a taupe trench coat when another wave of flattery hit her.
“Miss, this outfit really brings out your elegance. Normally, when we praise customers, there’s
ok good. So don’t always a bit of flattery involved–but I’m being honest with you. With your looks and poise, it’s not the clothes making you look good–it’s you making the clothe hesitate. With your skin tone, you can pull off any color, any style.”
Freya found it amusing. “I thought you’d say I look good in everything.”
Wouldn’t that be better for sales?”
like that. Some clothes are just too weird. They might not look
“Of course not,” the associate replied matter–of–factly. “It’s because you’re so good–looking that I wouldn’t say
