As for Louis stepping in to defend Freya, that was normal. Any man with a shred of pride would feel embarrassed if his wife was being bullied; it didn’t necessarily have anything to do with how much he cared about her.

Getting close to Louis was a once–in–a–lifetime opportunity for Natalie. She wasn’t about to overthink it. It wasn’t like she had anything to lose. She’d just get close first and figure out the rest later.

“These are the people I chose after some careful screening. What do you think?” Louis handed her a folder of information, motioning for her to take a look.

“I’ve already briefed them all. If you need anything, just give them direct instructions. If there’s anything you’re not happy with, let me know. As for how to use them and where, that’s up to you.”

“Alright. I’ll think about it. We’ll probably need some time to adjust.” Freya gestured for the eight of them to sit down instead of just standing there.

The personal assistants would clearly spend most of their time in the villa or accompanying her when she went out. The work assistants would depend on what she chose to do next. The

Once the eight people left, Freya looked at Louis in shock. “How were you this fast? I thought this kind of thing would take forever!”

They were both sitting on the office couch. Louis tapped her nose playfully and said, “We’d already started looking. I just finalized the last one today. I know you’re not used to this stuff, but you’ll get there.”

Freya naturally leaned into his arms, touching her chin thoughtfully, then burst into laughter.

“Next time someone picks a fight with me when I’m out, I’ll just call for my bodyguards. They’ll show up like a wall of force and scare the heck out of them.”

“Honestly, with your way with words, you don’t even need bodyguards. You could crush them with a few sentences,” Louis said, remembering that girl they’d run into before. Freya’s righteous, commanding tone had left the girl completely stunned. You didn’t find that kind of presence in most social circles.

“No, you’re wrong. My strength doesn’t come from my eloquence,” Freya said with complete ‘seriousness.

Louis tilted his head, genuinely curious. “Then what is it?”

“That’s an absolutely remarkable quality,” Louis replied immediately, though inside he felt incredibly annoyed that his good looks apparently didn’t work on her.

“Damn right. It’s not easy being a hopeless sucker for good–looking guys and still managing to stay sane,” Freya added with a sigh.

Still, having assistants did lift her mood. Freya made a mental note to figure out what she wanted to pursue next. Life was too full of potential to waste. Writing novels and screenplays wouldn’t take up all her time, she could definitely do more.
