Susan’s face darkened for a moment on the other end of the line, but she quickly switched to a smile, her voice soft and sweet. “Freya, you’ve misunderstood me. How could I possibly be trying to laugh at you? I know you’ve been through a tough time and aren’t feeling great, but I’m absolutely on your side. I invited you out to comfort you. Please don’t misinterpret my good intentions.”

“Good intentions? Fine. If that’s what this is, then the one thing I need most right now is peace and quiet. I just want to be alone, so I’d appreciate it if you didn’t disturb me.” Freya didn’t believe a word she said.

That’s why whenever Susan asked her to do something, she’d do it. And because of that history, Susan naturally assumed Freya’s coldness now was just her being a little tsundere.
