Eventually, when Freya realized people were deliberately ramming into her, she tried to dodge them. Sure, getting hit was part of the fun, but getting slammed around nonstop started to feel more irritating than entertaining. Her car could barely stay steady for a second.

Aiden genuinely wanted to help her, but he could barely control his own car, let alone rescue someone else. Every time he tried to get close, he’d get knocked askew by other cars and veer off somewhere random. Desperately spinning his steering wheel, he only seemed to end up farther and farther from Freya.

Everyone was just here to have fun, and Freya didn’t want to ruin the mood with a sour face. She gave up on dodging and resigned herself to being a moving target.

But then the constant barrage suddenly eased. When she glanced around, she saw Louis had pulled up beside her and was bumping away the cars surrounding her. His interference drew everyone’s attention, and soon they were all excitedly chasing after him instead. Just like that, Louis had shifted the chaos away from her and given her some breathing room.

Louis was amazing!

Freya practically wanted to kneel in gratitude. No matter how clichéd it sounded, the “hero saves the damsel” routine still worked every time–it always stirred something in a woman’s heart. If this were a game, you’d probably see Freya’s affection points for Louis skyrocketing. She silently vowed to cook him something delicious as a thank–you gift.

Eventually, the bumper car session ended. At the attendant’s call, Freya steered her car to the side and got out as fast as she could, not lingering for even a second. This thing? She never wanted to ride it again for the rest of her life!

“Then does that mean they were ramming into you because you’re pretty?” Aiden asked, glancing back and forth between Freya and Louis. “Hmm… well, you are pretty. But you really suck at driving. My uncle totally dodged that whole crowd of women. Oh! And he helped get you out of the mess too.”
