Fiction Made Me His Wife (Freya and Louis) novel Chapter 75

There are some things in life you just can’t control–like your height. Aiden instantly wilted. He wasn’t short for his age, not even in his class, but he was still a kid. How could he compare to adults?

Freya patted him on the shoulder. “Don’t worry, once you grow up, you’ll definitely be even more amazing than your uncle. Trust me. Just drink an extra glass of milk before bed. I’ll get it ready for you–milk helps you grow taller.”

Aiden nodded enthusiastically. Even if he couldn’t match an adult’s height, he was determined to be the tallest kid in his class!

“So, what should we do next?” Freya regretted not checking the park guide before coming. There were too many people now, and pulling out her phone might get someone bumped or jostled–she didn’t mind, but it wouldn’t be good if a kid got hurt because of her.

“I wanna ride the pirate ship! Let’s go, let’s go!” a little boy nearby shouted as he bounced while tugging his parent’s hand. Freya turned to Aiden at once. “You want to try the pirate ship too?”

“Sure, I want to ride everything,” Aiden replied as he pulled out the park map. “It’s right up ahead—not far. Let’s go!”

When they arrived at the pirate ship, the previous group was just getting off. Perfect timing. According to the queue, they were seated at the farthest edge, which likely meant the swinging would be pretty intense.

Aiden was hyped as always. Louis was his usual composed self. Freya, however, was feeling a bit anxious. She had never ridden one of these before. In TV dramas, the heroine always ended up puking her guts out after this ride. And sure, she was just a side character–but nausea didn’t discriminate.

“Freya, why are you squeezing my hand so tight? It kinda hurts,” Aiden finally blurted out after bearing it for a moment.

“Oh! Sorry, I was just… excited,” Freya replied awkwardly. No way she was going to admit she was nervous. When she let go, she saw Aiden’s little hand was slightly red. She instantly felt awful. “Are you okay? Does it hurt a lot?”

You switch seats with her,” Louis suddenly said.

Both Freya and Aiden blinked in surprise. “Why?” Aiden asked instinctively.

“To avoid irnbalance,” Louis said, glancing toward the right side. Aiden and Freya followed his gaze. They were seated all the way to the left, while the right side was full of adults. With Aiden being a kid, their side really did look noticeably lighter.
