Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 1857

Jonathan's gaze grew steely as he stared at the screen before him.

It was playing the recording Lance had let him listen to earlier, where Manley was half-jokingly, half-seriously confessing his feelings to Estelle.

Soon enough, Estelle pushed him away, discovering Lance knocked out cold on the floor. Manley then asked why Estelle had come alone.

With a scoff, Estelle retorted, "Don't try to drive a wedge between us. Even if Jonathan can't make it back for our wedding, I'll go ahead with it myself!"

Manley was livid, "You're not just wet behind the ears, you're downright brainless!"

Estelle, chin lifted slightly, her tone earnest, declared, "Now do you understand how much I love him?"

The video froze on Estelle's expression, a mix of solemnity and a touch of pride.

The corners of Jonathan's lips had already started to curl upwards when Estelle said she would go on with the wedding even without him. Now, staring at Estelle's face, his heart swelled with emotion.

How could he love her so much!

Even the strands of hair tousled by the breeze seemed utterly adorable to him!

He had always thought his Ella was reserved when it came to expressing her feelings. Even in their most intimate moments, she seldom spoke sweet nothings. The 'I miss you' she had uttered downstairs had already struck a chord in his heart, and hearing her declaration now, every cell in his body seemed to be rejoicing.

It was in that moment that Jonathan truly felt at peace, his animosity towards Manley even beginning to fade.

Charlie grabbed the phone, chuckling, "Alright, we get that you're over the moon, but you don't have to grin like a Cheshire cat."

Jonathan took out his own phone, indulging Charlie's teasing without losing his smile, "Send me the video!"

Charlie promptly forwarded it to him.

Jonathan edited out the parts he found irksome, keeping only Estelle's declaration.

He watched it over and over, five times before finally shutting off his phone.

Speaking of Kya, Jonathan quirked an eyebrow, "Where is Kya? Haven't seen her flaunting her cuteness around today."

Charlie usually paraded Kya at every gathering, so it was odd to see him without her today.

Charlie explained, "Kya's a flower girl today. After the ceremony, my mom whisked her away. I didn't stand a chance!"

Jonathan couldn't help but laugh, "Kya's become your unbeatable trump card!"

"Don't get too cocky," Charlie warned him, grinning mischievously, "When your mom sees Kya, she'll probably start pressuring you to hurry up and give her a grandkid to dote on."

"Am I worried about her nudging?" Jonathan's lips curved into a gentle, confident smile.

Charlie nodded, "Right, you're not the one to fret about being rushed. You're more eager than anyone!"

Jonathan, absentmindedly caressing his phone, slowly broke into a soft, contented smile.
