Gillian had been in Norah's office for over half an hour. When she finally emerged, she noticed the bizarre, judgmental stares tracking her every move. She naively assumed everyone was just jealous of her new promotion.

It wasn't until a work friend pulled her aside and told her to check her company email immediately.

Gillian stared at the screen, utterly paralyzed for a solid three minutes. When reality finally snapped into focus, she lunged at Jenny. Blinded by hysterics, she grabbed whatever heavy object was on the nearest desk and hurled it straight at Jenny's head.

Jenny wasn't about to back down. Within seconds, the two women were screeching and tearing at each other's hair right in the middle of the office.

Coworkers swarmed the scene, desperately trying to pry them apart.

Gillian looked entirely deranged as she screamed, "Jenny Jordan, you vicious bitch! You framed Norah, and now you're using the exact same dirty tricks to ruin me! You're going straight to hell!"

Jenny fired back just as loudly. "Are you a lunatic? What does this have to do with me? You're the one spreading your legs doing disgusting things and getting caught on camera! Why are you blaming me?"

"It was you! I know it was you!" Gillian shrieked, thrashing wildly against the coworkers holding her back.

Zane rushed out of his office, grabbing Gillian's arm. "Calm down!"

"Get the hell off me!" Gillian slapped Zane hard across the face, her eyes bloodshot with rage. "You took those photos of me and gave them to Jenny! You're both absolute trash!"

Humiliated and cornered, Zane exploded. "You're the one who seduced me!"

Gillian burst into loud, ugly sobs.

Standing by the door of her office, Norah observed the chaotic spectacle unfolding before her. Listening to their screaming match, she easily pieced the whole ugly truth together.

Gillian had always lived in Jenny's shadow since joining the company. While she acted like a loyal lackey on the surface, she had been secretly boiling with resentment over Jenny's constant belittling.

She knew Zane had a massive crush on Jenny and gave her special privileges around the office, allowing Jenny to thrive effortlessly.

Norah swiveled her chair slightly, offering a faint smile. "During meetings, I sit right at the front. It's just like being a professor at a podium—you can see every tiny gesture your students make. Gillian looked at Zane a little too intently, and I noticed Jenny always had this gloating, disdainful smirk whenever she did. I knew right then that there was something incredibly messy going on between the three of them."

She had originally planned to use Gillian's reputation as a snitch to fracture their already unstable alliance. But honestly, even she hadn't expected Zane to be stupid enough to hand over explicit photos to Jenny.

That was just a happy accident.

Adrian sighed deeply. "It's a real shame about Zane."

They had been good buddies back in college. Zane was brilliant, and when he found out Adrian was stepping up to inherit the Chambers family business, Zane had eagerly volunteered to help him build his empire.

Adrian valued his talent and poured resources into grooming him. In just three short years, he had fast-tracked Zane from an intern all the way to a deputy supervisor, with another major promotion just around the corner.
