Mr. Norman, She's Out of Your League Now novel Chapter 19

"That sounds complicated."

Henry was dumbfounded when he heard that acupuncture would be performed instead of surgery.

If it hadn't been for David's recommendation, he believed this so-called miracle doctor was just a scam in disguise.

However, Brian remained as calm as ever. He turned to Charlotte and asked, "Was the acupuncture technique you mentioned in your published work, Ancient Acupuncture Therapy?"

"Yes. I'm surprised you know about that." Charlotte didn't refute it.

He replied, "Since I'm trusting you in treating me, I naturally had to do my research."

At that, she rolled her eyes. "Then why did you threaten to call the police on me earlier?"

She couldn't believe him at all!

He didn't argue but simply changed the topic. "When does the treatment begin?" he asked.

Charlotte pouted but didn't bother picking a fight.

"We'll need a full-body checkup to assess your condition first. If there's nothing severe, you'll need acupuncture once a day. When the time is tight, we'll lure the parasite out. But if the parasite already weakens your body, we'll have to increase the frequency. Besides that, you'll need to take herbal supplements during the process…"

As if remembering something, she immediately added, "Let's be clear. You must source the herbs and ingredients required for the treatment as they're not included in my fees. I only provide the treatment, not the supplies."

The herbs Brian needed were rare and expensive. If she had to cover it alone, she'd be losing money.

She wasn't planning to run a charity.

Thankfully, he didn't argue.

He nodded and replied calmly, "As long as you can cure me, that won't be a problem."

"Good." Charlotte was satisfied with his response. "Let's begin with the checkup."

"Alright."

"The equipment is next door. Let me take you there. Sorry to trouble you, Dr. Mandy," Henry said while leading the way. Together, the three headed next door for the examination.

Charlotte was no stranger to medical equipment. She took the lead and handled everything personally.

Three hours later, the examination was finally over.

When the reports came out, she examined them individually before giving her final verdict.

"Your condition is not bad because it's not too serious. You only need acupuncture once a day."

Then, she turned to look at Brian and added with a smirk, "You're lucky you ran into me. If you had waited another year, you would not only be blind, but also dead."

Brian said nothing, but Henry seemed to have seen a ghost.

"Is it that bad?" he asked in surprise.

"What do you think?"

Charlotte was tired of explaining it. "These parasites feed off your body. It's only harming his vision now, but festering it any longer will lead to his death. In plain terms, it's like a slow-acting poison."

Upon hearing this, Henry broke out into a cold sweat. "That's scary!"
