"I said I don't want it!"
The shop assistant froze on the spot, completely stunned. It was hard to believe anyone would turn down the most expensive option and insist on the cheaper one. Especially when the offer came directly from Brian.
Everyone knew that even a few million dollars meant nothing to him. Money was hardly an issue.
Charlotte was already holding back a surge of frustration. Watching Brian continue to challenge her like this only made her angrier.
She glared at him and snapped, "Brian, what is wrong with you? Are you so rich that you don't know what to do with your money? If that's the case, why not donate it instead of using it to throw your weight around with me?"
Then, she turned back to the shop assistant, her voice firm and unwavering. "I told you, just give me something that costs around 50 thousand dollars. That's all I need."
Brian's tone remained cold as ice. "This store belongs to Norman Group. If you don't want to keep your job, you can go ahead and give her the cheaper option."
The shop assistant, who had been standing there completely unsure of what to do, immediately straightened up at his words. "Yes, I will bring out the finest, most expensive piece we have in the store."
Without waiting for another word, she rushed off and returned moments later, holding a stunning designer gown in her hands.
"Miss, this is the latest piece from the current season. There's only one of these in the world. I believe it'll suit you perfectly. Please, let me show you to the fitting room."
The assistant looked at Charlotte almost pleadingly, clearly afraid of upsetting either party and losing her job in the process.
Charlotte was fuming. If Brian couldn't win the argument, he would simply resort to threats.
But the shop assistant was innocent. The conflict was between her and Brian, and she was not the type to drag others into it. She knew perfectly well that Brian meant what he said. If the shop assistant disobeyed him, he would absolutely follow through on the consequences.
Grinding her teeth in frustration, Charlotte had no choice but to accept.
Before heading into the fitting room, she could not help swinging her fist in the air right in front of Brian, making several exaggerated jabs as if she were ready to punch him flat.
The shop assistant watched the scene, completely dumbfounded. Who was this woman, bold enough to treat Brian like that? No one had ever dared to show him such disrespect.
