Mr. Norman, She's Out of Your League Now novel Chapter 70

Lydia's mind immediately ran through the list of women who had appeared around Brian. She considered each of them carefully, but in the end, none of them seemed like the kind of person who would wear that gown.

Even the doctor she had met a few days ago did not fit the image.

A soft blush crept up her cheeks as a thought crossed her mind. Could it be that Brian had bought the gown for her? Was he planning to surprise her?

The more she considered it, the more delighted she felt. Smiling to herself, Lydia spoke briefly to the shop assistant. "I see. Thank you for letting me know."

With that, she hung up the phone.

The shop assistant stood there in confusion. Was Lydia alright? Why did she seem so happy after hearing that Brian had purchased the gown for another woman?

After leaving the boutique, Charlotte and Brian headed straight out of the shopping center. Just as they were about to part ways, Charlotte turned to him and said, "Hand me your phone."

Brian frowned. "For what?"

Charlotte kept her tone calm. "The price of this dress is well above 50 thousand dollars. It costs far more than what I planned. Give me your payment code. I'll transfer the difference."

Brian's expression darkened instantly. Whatever good mood he had felt a moment ago quickly vanished. Of course, she would be this calculating.

His voice dropped several degrees. "So eager to keep the accounts clear between us?"

Charlotte offered him a polite smile, her reply steady. "Of course."

Brian's gaze turned sharp. "Is that so? In that case, consider the debt outstanding. This dress costs 500 hundred thousand dollars. It's ten times what you were willing to pay. Keep that number in mind. When I feel like it, I'll come collect the payment from you. You'd better not think about running."

Without waiting for her response, he stepped into the car and ordered, "Drive. Back to the office."
