Mr. Norman, She's Out of Your League Now novel Chapter 86

Matthias greeted the Normans out of courtesy when he saw them, "Good evening, Mrs. Norman Senior, Mr. Liam, Mrs. Norman, and Mr. Brian."

Brian narrowed his eyes slightly when he heard that voice. He recognized Matthias' voice. So, was Charlotte having dinner with him tonight? A strange sense of displeasure crept up on him. His eyes instinctively shifted toward Charlotte.

And she felt it immediately.

Even though he couldn't actually see, for some reason, there was a sharpness in his gaze she could clearly sense.

Liam hadn't spoken at all up until now, but when he heard Matthias' greeting, he gave a faint nod in return.

Maryanne also nodded, acknowledging him politely.

At this point, Charlotte had no intention of continuing this drama in front of her friends. She tugged on Ivy's arm and said, "Let's go. I'm tired. I want to head home and rest."

Ivy saw how worn out she looked and instantly felt a pang of sympathy. There was no way she'd say no. She nodded. "Alright, let's go."

Matthias added, "I'll drive you two."

Neither Charlotte nor Ivy refused.

The Perrys didn't dare stop them and could only stand there and watch them leave.

Kayden was clearly worried. He could tell Charlotte had been bullied, and she probably felt awful right now. His little chest felt tight, and he couldn't help wanting to follow her.
