My birthday presents from yesterday were nicely stacked on my study desk. I stared at them, couldn't decide if I should be ripping each of the wrappers out now or get some sleep first. There were quite a few of them but what caught my eyes was the green medium-sized teddy bear at the near end of the table. I remembered that was the one Jean had passed it to me and it was from Calvin.
I didn't know what came into my mind but I went to take the teddy bear, along with his shirt. I got back on bed and saw the small card that was slipped underneath the shirt the bear was wearing. I slid it out and opened it.
'I understand if you dislike me, but you're my mate and I will need you forever.
Love,
Your Mate'
'You will need him too,' I heard my wolf say.
"Is there any way for me to keep you quiet?" I asked.
'Nope, too bad.'
My hands then had mind on their own and reached for Calvin's t-shirt at the edge of the bed and started sniffing them. I fell asleep, cuddling on his shirt.

My wolf was two weeks old today. Ever since I shifted, I tried my best to avoid Calvin as much as I can much to my wolf's unhappiness. She kept telling me that she wanted to see her mate so bad. Urgh! Annoying wolf.
Avoiding Calvin meant I had to skip all history lessons with different lame excuses all the time. Of course I couldn't keep doing that until I graduated. Mr Rama seemed to realize that I had been skipping his lesson so on that Wednesday; he personally came up to my maths class to 'fetch' me for his lesson. I groaned but followed him nonetheless.
I took a seat on my usual seat and just stared blankly at the whiteboard. I didn't bother to turn around to look at what I should be calling, my mate even though I could feel a pair of eyes, burning a hole through my back.
History surprisingly went by fast. All we did was copied some notes about the World War and that was it. I was about to quickly leave the classroom when Mr Rama gave out his final instructions to the class.
"Alright class, please leave your History homework on the desk and Miss Anderson will help me collect them."
"Why me?" I asked aloud, lazily.
