Chapter 43

Chapter 43

Í slumped over my desk, my cheek pressed against the cool surface as the classroom buzzed around me.

Whispers, stares and fucking more whispers.

Normally, people at Crestinont Prep had enough self-preservation instincts not to gossip about me where I could hear them but that didn’t seem to be the case today.

I wasn’t sure what rumor they had circulating around about me, but I could hear Sophie’s name linked with mine which made my fingers tightened against the edge of the desk.

And he had nothing to do what was said, I couldn’t give less of a damn what these idiots thought. What was bothering me was thst lying, manipulative bitch.

The more I thought about that day, the angrier I got, and everytime I replayed it in my head, I found another reason why she deserved payback.

And she was going to get it, soon, very soon

Before my thoughts could wonder off to more way I could get back at her, I felt a tap on my shoulder. And I tried not to groan as I thought of the unfortunate soul who would think it was wise to disrupt my somewhat peace moment.

I ignored it, expecting them to have thought about their decision twice, when I felt another tap, and another, causing my eye to twitch.

For fuck’s sake

I slowly lifted my head, ready to murder someone, only to let out a groan when an overly cheerful smile greeted me.

Amelia fucking Bell.

“Hi..” she chirped.

“What?” I didn’t even try to hide my irritation and she didn’t seem to care as she stood beside my desk with a bright pink lollipop in her hand.

One eyebrow raised, completely unbothered by the fact that I looked seconds away from committing a felony.

“How are you holding up?” she asked, only to carry on before I could answer, “I can’t believe everyone’s taking Sophie’s side and calling you a bitch,” she says as she, casually sucks on a pink lollipop.

“Not me, obviously,” she added. “I heard it from someone else.”

I stared at blankly, still wondering what she wanted

“Apparently people think you need to get off your high horse and stop making Sophie’s life miserable.”

A bitter laugh almost escaped me at this. Sophie’s life miserable? That was fucking rich. The girl spread lies faster than a virus and somehow everyone still saw her as some innocent little victim.

“They’re saying you dragged her through the hallway by her hair,” my jaw clenched.

Bullshit

“Threw her on the ground and screamed about how Landon belonged to you.” I gripped the edge of my desk harder as slowly looked up at her.

Chapter 43

Was everyone in this school brain dead? none of that had happened, not even close.

“Honestly, that’s kind of embarrassing.” Amelia carried on, tilting her head and mg eye twitched, “and a little crazy.”

There it was, the crazy card. Everyone loved pulling that one whenever they talked about me, as if being a bitch automatically meant I belonged in a padded room.

“I always knew you were slightly unhinged, but I didn’t think you’d go that far over Landon.”

At the mention of Landon immediately soured my mood, not because I wanted him. God no, not anymore, not after that day. At this point, Landon Pierce could get hit by a bus and I’d probably just keep walking.

What pissed me off was the fact that he had stood there that day and practically handed Sophie the victim trophy.

“Then again, stealing the bracelet he bought for Sophie wasn’t exactly helping your case…” everything inside me froze and a second, wondering if i had heard her correctly.

I snatched the lollipop straight out of her mouth and dropped it onto the floor and she gasped.

“Hey,” she looked horrified. “I was eating that,” I didn’t care, not even a little.

“Repeat that.”

She raised a brow. “The part about your concerning mental state?” I glared at her and she immediately gulped. “Or..” she cleared her throat, “the bracelet?”

“The bracelet,” my voice was calm which was a contrast to what I felt.

Amelia shifted, and she running her hand over her hair, “they’re saying you stole the bracelet Landon bought Sophie,” my stomach twisted from pure fucking disbelief

Only three people knew about that bracelet, me, Kaia and Sophie.

Kaia would take a bullet before she’d betray me which left one person, that lying little bitch.

I could practically see it, her sitting there with those fake tears, acting all scared and fragile while feeding everyone another story and these idiots had eaten it up, again.

“They said you kept insisting the bracelet belonged to you.” I looked away before I did something violent, my blood was boiling.

God, I was going to destroy her, slowly and painfully, and when I was done, she would wish she had picked literally anyone else to mess with.

| “Where did you hear it?” Amelia blinked, then started twirling a strand of hair around her finger.

“I drank a lot of bubble tea yesterday, honestly you can’t blame me,” I closed my eyes, trying to restrain myself from telling her a lot of colorful word as I could already feel a headache forming, “they are addictive.”

“Amelia.

“Right,” she coughed. “Sophie.”

Finally.
