A Wedding Night Gone Terribly Wrong novel Chapter 337

Iris had always spoken to her without a filter.

She sneered coldly, "It really makes a difference having your General daddy backing you up, doesn't it? You look like a whole new person. If you had just pulled strings with your family to boost my brother's career earlier, he wouldn't have been snatched away by the Sutton heiress."

Vivian merely gave Iris a fleeting, indifferent glance.

"I'm here today for my children. I have no intention of digging up the past with you."

"I pity you," Iris scoffed.

Vivian turned her attention to the investigating officer. "I'm sure you can gather... I used to be incredibly foolish and obsessed with love. I got involved with Owen before I even finished college, completely revolving my life around him."

"When he acted like garbage, I acted crazy."

"When he stayed out all night, I'd track him down at clubs to cause a scene."

"When he got sick of me, I became hysterical."

"Around the time of the divorce, my condition worsened into severe depression and self-harm."

"What I want to say now is... the moment Owen publicly announced his marriage to Yvonne, I woke up."

"I reclaimed my career and rebuilt my social life."

"The documents I've provided today are all completely authentic."

"I am now fully capable of caring for my children. I originally planned to bring them back to live with me by the end of the year, but with my daughter being hurt today, I'll just take her two months early. That works out fine."

The officer neatly stacked her documents and handed them back.

He said, "You can go to the hospital to pick up your child."

"Thank you!" Vivian gave a deep bow.

Her wool hat slipped off, and a policewoman kindly picked it up and placed it back on her head.

She bowed again. "Thank you so much!"

"You're welcome. Keep living a good life, Vivian. You're doing great!"

With tears welling in her eyes, Vivian backed out of the room.

Iris jumped up in a panic. "She hasn't taken care of Jordyn for almost a year! I'm the one who raised her! I put so much effort into raising her, she can't just take her away!"
