A Wedding Night Gone Terribly Wrong novel Chapter 359

When Winifred and Annie arrived at the Lockwood Mansion, dripping in the stunning jewelry Leland had hand-picked for them and with Seth looking sharp in a little tailored suit, the women of the family immediately swarmed them.

Sylvia scooped Annie right up into her arms.

Shannon immediately grabbed Seth and hurried him off to the side to gush over how much she had missed him.

Winifred found herself completely surrounded by the younger women of the family.

"Winifred, you look absolutely gorgeous today!"

"That necklace is stunning, and the earrings match perfectly. You have incredible taste."

Winifred felt a little shy and admitted softly, "Leland actually picked it out."

One of the cousins smiled knowingly. "It looks just like the pieces Grandma and your mother-in-law gifted you. Did he raid your collection?"

"He did."

"You are so lucky."

"Leland is so devoted. He really loves you."

"Grandma feels like the family owes you so much, she's doing everything she can to spoil you."

"And Leland's mother, too. She dug out all her most prized pieces just for you. As a mother-in-law, she clearly adores you."

Standing nearby with her own son in her arms, Fabiola heard every word. Her mouth twitched in a tight, unsmiling line.

At that moment, Shannon walked over, still holding Seth. She sidled right up to Winifred with a look of deep concern.

"Winifred, sweetheart, you've lost weight. Have you been pushing yourself too hard at work lately?"

Seth began gently pushing against his grandmother's arm, and Winifred immediately reached out to take him. "Here, Mom, let me take him so we can chat properly."

"Oh, no need, no need! I've got him." Shannon turned slightly to block her.
