Chapter 108
Ashley’s POV
After returning to the room, I locked the door behind me and headed straight to the bathroom.
Standing in front of the sink, I stared at the woman in the mirror.
This isn’t me.
The hair that was neatly combed earlier was now a complete mess, damp and sticking to my cheeks and neck.
My collarbone and shoulders were covered in countless dark red marks.
They were Hebert’s.
I yanked off the torn white bathrobe I was wearing and tossed it into the laundry bin in the corner.
Turning on the faucet, I let cold water rush over my burning hands.
Even now, my fingers wouldn’t stop trembling uncontrollably.
It felt like traces of that Alpha’s overwhelming heat were still lingering there.
I couldn’t believe I had actually done that.
Hebert’s rut had been brutal–nothing short of chaos–and a quick release wasn’t enough to tame the wild beast inside him.
I helped him with my hands without crossing the final line.
He had clung to that boundary with terrifying self–control.
Even with every muscle in his body tense to the point of breaking, even with his teeth grazing along my neck, he never actually pierced my skin.
There were so many moments I almost lost it.
The overwhelming cedar scent hitting me like a tidal wave- -it was suffocating, relentless.
I don’t have a wolf spirit or heat cycles, but I’m still a normal adult woman with natural needs.
And through it all, my mind was consumed with Hebert.
The roughness of his breaths, the burning heat of his sweat, the way his arms locked me tightly against him.
My body betrayed me, reacting with an intensity I couldn’t ignore.
Even thinking back to it now, my thighs tremble with that distinct, almost unbearable sensation.
That damp, maddening feeling–it’s driving me crazy.
Stripping off the last of my clothes, I stepped into the shower.
Hot water cascaded over my back, pounding against my skin.
I closed my eyes, letting the stream wash over me.
Squeezing out too much of the minty shower gel, I scrubbed my skin hard.
White suds covered the reddish marks on me.
But that overpowering scent–it lingered.

It wasn’t just on the surface anymore. It felt like it had sunk deep, threading into my pores, merging with my bloodstream.
My heart raced for Hebert
This realization hit me like a thunderbolt–it was impossible to ignore.
It wasn’t gratitude. It wasn’t dependence. It was pure, primal desire- a woman’s craving for a man.
One of my hands cupped my breast, kneading it softly, while the other slipped downward to my clit.
As my fingers teased my clit, waves of pleasure coursed through me. I couldn’t stop myself. My fingers slid inside me.
The rhythm of my movements became urgent, and I let out a low moan.
In my mind, Hebert loomed larger, the desire for him growing uncontrollably.
I added another two fingers, imagining it was his thick length, but it wasn’t enough not even close.
Desperate to ease the ache, I quickened my pace, my fingers pressing harder against my g–spot. Before I knew it, I cried out, Ah… Hebert!”
The orgasm brought fleeting relief, but just as quickly, the hunger returned, sharper, fiercer.
God, what was happening to me?
I spent over an hour in the shower, scrubbing and rinsing, the heat of the water doing little to calm my restless body until exhaustion finally caught up with me.
With trembling hands, I turned off the faucet, grabbed a towel, and wrapped it tightly around me. Stepping out of the bathroom, I was greeted by the stillness of my bedroom, only the ticking clock disturbing the silence.
I walked over to the bed and slipped under the covers.
The screen of the phone on the nightstand suddenly lit up, casting a harsh blue light.
I reached out, grabbed the phone.
Fifty–six missed calls.
All from one name.
