At first, a wave of panic hit me, sharp and overwhelming. But it only lasted a few seconds before my confidence took over completely. There was no way this ridiculous inspection could expose my secret!

I had already silenced every greedy doctor in this hospital with piles of cash and expensive jewelry. They were on my side, b by the deals we’d made. As long as I stood here, they’d play along, crafting the perfect report to “prove” my organs were rap failing. Leaning weakly against the icy hospital corridor wall, I cast a sorrowful gaze toward the white door of the examination roon Everything was going according to plan-until the door swung open.

The moment I hit “send,” my body crumpled to the cold linoleum floor, my chest heaving as I gasped for air. The sharp smell of disinfectant invaded my nostrils relentlessly, and all I could do was pray that the old lady would intervene before this nightmare spiraled further out of control.
