Chapter 153

My mind went completely blank.

I felt like the biggest joke ever!

And then, just like a volcano erupting, a wave of searing rage ignited every nerve in my body.

What kind of idiot have I been? How could I let such a pathetic, absurd lie cost me the love of my life?

My fingers tightened cruelly, gripping Silvia’s slim neck with unrelenting force. Her perfectly made-up face was now twiste sheer desperation, her legs kicking wildly as she hung in the air.

Watching her struggle, her ugliness laid bare, it was like a fog had finally lifted from my eyes. Those memories, sharp as kni tore through me piece by piece!

“You vile, disgusting snake!” I roared, my voice raw with fury.

Just as Silvia’s eyes bulged nearly out of their sockets, her breath slipping away for good-

“BANG!”

“Let her go, you mindless fool!”

The sharp, commanding yell from Grandma cut through the stifling atmosphere in the room like a lightning strike. Her point cane hit the cold hospital floor with a heavy thud, sending an ominous sound echoing through the space.

Her voice dragged me back from the brink of madness, forcing a sliver of control into my chaotic mind. I let go abruptly, throwing Silvia against the wall like she was nothing more than a worthless bag of trash. That insufferable woman collapsed the floor, gasping desperately for air, her loud, choking coughs filling the room.

“Why did you stop me?!” I turned around and snapped at Grandma, my voice raw and feral like a cornered animal. “That despicable woman lied to me! She destroyed my marriage! She took Ashley away from me! I want her dead! And then I’ll go aft Ashley, I’ll beg for forgiveness, I’ll find her! She’s the one who should be my Luna!”

“Smack!”

A sharp slap slammed across my face, loud and forceful. My head whipped to the side under the impact, and the taste of blood instantly filled my mouth.

“Stop those pathetic tears and ridiculous howls, Brian!” Grandma’s sharp eyes were blazing with fury as she pointed a finger your behavior is inches from my face. “You’re an Alpha! The leader of the entire Blackwood Pack! And look at you right now more revolting than that of a filthy rogue! Silvia is, at least by name, still your wife and the Luna of Blackwood Pack. Do you really think the elders would tolerate an Alpha who murdered his own wife?”

I clutched my burning cheek, my insides twisting from the unbearable pain and shame. “I can’t accept this! I can’t lose Ashley! I shouted back, my voice breaking.

“You already lost her!” Grandma’s voice was ice, each word striking me like a poisoned dagger straight to the heart. Face the truth, Brian! You and Ashley are over! She doesn’t belong to Blackwood Pack anymore.”

Her words hit me like a hurricane, ripping me apart.

“What… what are you saying?” My eyes went wide, trembling as my voice cracked with panic.

“This morning, the highest envoy from Bloodmoon Pack officially submitted the documents,” Grandina replied, her expression gold, tinged with a trace of bitter sadness. “Ashley is joining the Bloodmoon Pack. She’s going to be a formal member of Hebert’s territory.”

The sheer shock and despair crushed ine. My legs gave out, and I collapsed onto the freezing floor, utterly broken.

“Why… why do I know nothing about this? I thought it was just a divorce!” My voice cracked as I shouted, clutching my head with both hands. “I’m the Alpha of Blackwood Pack! Why didn’t anyone report this to me?”

“This was a unanimous decision by the Blackwood elders,” Grandma coldly shattered my last remnants of hope. “The council decided that, in your current state scattered and weak-you are incapable of making rational choices. We can’t allow you to drag the entire pack into a war over an Omega who has already left.”

“Let it go, Brian.” Grandma let out a tired sigh, her tone carrying an unusual defeat. “You need to face reality. This is the price you pay for your arrogance and foolishness.”

“No… Please…” I dropped to my knees in front of her, clutching her skirt like my life depended on it, tears flooding uncontrollably down my face. “Grandma, I’m begging you! Just let me see her one more time! I just… I just need to see her clearly one last time!”

My voice, raw with desperation, echoed down the hallway. I’d thrown away all pride as Alpha-left with nothing but a shattered soul, grasping blindly for a flicker of light in the overwhelming dark.

Grandma stared down at me in silence, her cloudy eyes betraying a moment of complicated pity.

“She’s at the border,” Grandma’s voice trembled as she revealed the crucial location, “She’s saying goodbye to Vicki.”

The moment I heard it, my heart, which had felt lifeless for so long, suddenly roared back to life with an uncontrollable pulse of energy!

I didn’t even spare a glance at Silvia, who was crumpled on the floor in complete disgrace. I didn’t bother to wipe the tears that streaked down my face. I shot up from the ground and dashed toward the border as fast as my legs could carry me!
