Abandoned While Pregnant, Claimed by the Alpha novel Chapter 20

suva, I’ve decided You’ll hapille the banquet this time,I said at last.

I won’t let Ashley think she can keep getting unlimited Forgiveness from me.

Over the next few days, Grandmother didn’t call me again, see it before? She’s such a cruel and selfish woman.

so I figured Ashley must have completely refeed her. How did I m

I’d been fooled by her fragile appearance. Dammit! I wanted to storm into her apartment and give her the lesson she deserves, but the pack has been such a mess lately.

I can’t afford to leave right now.

Ever since she left, the whole wolf pack system’s been falling apart like a kite with a snapped string.

Yesterday, a Beta’s pup went missing for twenty minutes during training camptis mom literally barged into the command hall screaming at the top of her lungs, demanding that I personally search for him. And if that wasn’t enough, fwo omegas filed complaints against each other over their dresses, claiming, She’s dressed too provocatively and it disgraces the Moon Goddess ceremony.

Can you believe this? I’m the Alpha, and they expect me to sort out this kind of nonsense? These trivial, ridiculous issues- things Ashley should’ve been handling herselfare now all dumped on me.

Am I really supposed to bring her back for this nonsense? No way. I won’t give in. Never.

Over the next few days, Silvia was seriously putting her all into the preparations for the banquet. She was busy every day- making calls, poring over venue brochures, picking out decorations. Every time I managed to pull myself away from the mountains of pack business and head home, I’d see her exhausted yet somehow content smile.

She’s just so kind. Nothing like Ashley, who was always nitpicking over the smallest, most meaningless details.

When the day of the banquet arrived, I wrapped up a meeting early and drove down to the venue. Silvia had picked a new event hall in the city center, saying it had the best view and looked grand. She wanted it to be a surprisefor me. With everything already piling up on my plate, I didn’t think too much of it and chose to trust her completely.

But the moment I stepped out of the car and walked up to the entrance, I froze.

This wasn’t a surprise.

It was a disaster.

Golden balloons and purple ribbons were messily twisted around the Roman columns, with cheap glittering string lights snaking along the base of the walls, throwing out harsh, clublike flashes. At the entrance stood two massive heartshaped wreaths made of gaudy, bright red roses. The air reeked of an overpowering perfume that was almost nauseating.

Everything here screamed excessexpensive brands, sure, but haphazardly thrown together with zero taste. It was tacky, over- thetop, a look that reminded me more of a lowend strip club than a respectable venue.

This was an insult to the Blackwood Pack’s reputation!

I doublechecked the addressno mistake, it was here.

A wave of fury slammed into me. Just then, Silvia appeared, wheeled out by a servant. She was dressed in a brandnew white gown, a proud, expectant smile lighting up her face.

Brian! You’re here!she said cheerfully, her tone brimming with excitement. So? How’s it look? Isn’t this a big surprise?

Surprise? The word came out through gritted teeth as my anger burned even hotter, nearly spilling over. You’ve actually got the nerve to call this good? Silvia, open your eyes and look properly! Thisthis style, this tastethis isn’t fit for a family as prestigious as the Alpha line! You’ve completely trashed the pack’s image!
