Chapter 21 Pro’s Daily Life of Buying Information
The other players clearly understood just how broken this talent was.
LilNimbus didn’t bid any further. She was evidently not interested in burning her Endurance to churn out a pile of looms.
She simply needed a loom, and more looms just meant more fabric to work with. One was enough.
And NobleScalper could give the loom special effects on top of that. So, with his entrance into the bidding, the deal was sealed.
Chloe walked away with a price that left her more than satisfied, and she’d gotten a glimpse of just how formidable high–level players could be.
The quiet pride she’d felt over securing an Epic fishing rod and hauling in so much loot in a single day evaporated on the spot.
‘I gotta stay humble, she thought. ‘There are plenty of powerhouses out there.’
NobleScalper sent over the trade agreement, and Chloe accepted without hesitation.
Notification: [Trade Complete.]
As for her Fresh Water, Nightstalker Tent, and matches, those basic supplies didn’t even qualify for discussion in this group. Chloe traded them for basic resources with other players through the main Trading Post. Her matches could still start fires, but only 24 sticks remained, so they didn’t fetch much: 40 basic logs. The Nightstalker Tent went for slightly more. Though it was only Common quality, its Energy recovery effect was decent. The price was capped by its remaining Durability, which would only hold out for five more uses at most.
Chloe got eighty basic logs for it. Altogether, the basic items netted her 130 common logs and 21 stones. Basic materials were something she could never have too few of.
She opened the construction interface for the Basic Arcane Defense Tower: [100 Premium Wooden Logs, 200 Premium Iron, 50 Premium binding material, 3 Elemental Mediums, 10 Energy Mediums, 1 Rare High–Magic Medium…]
Everything was now accounted for.
What NobleScalper had given her had worked out perfectly. His 50 units of Fungal Ooze precisely fulfilled the binding material requirement.
The three Eyes of the Crimson Wyrm served as Elemental Mediums, and they were even Rare materials.
As for the Rare High–Magic Medium, Chloe already had one of her own. Every requirement was met with nothing to spare.
Chloe felt her Luck of 6 quietly working its magic once again.
Now, the only missing piece was the Arcane Workbench. Once she built the Basic Arcane Defense Tower, she could attempt to upgrade her territory.
As if summoned by the thought, a notification chimed in her private messages.
FearlessReaper: [Hey, you need an Arcane Workbench Upgrade Tome?]
‘Wow. Am I really this lucky?‘ It was the one thing Chloe needed more than anything else right now. She’d posted a request on the Trading Post, sure, but she’d never actually believed her luck would stretch far enough to reel this in.
Chloe: [Hello. Yes, I do. What price do you have in mind?]
Fearless Reaper didn’t answer. Instead, he flung the Arcane Workbench Upgrade Tome straight into the chat. Notification: [Arcane Workbench Upgrade Tome. Quality: Premium.
[Upon use, upgrades a Workbench into an Arcane Workbench, granting basic magical synthesis functions and

unlocking an expanded set of base recipes.]
The moment Chloe saw the item, her eyes lit up. It was the Arcane Workbench she’d been yearning for. But her sharp eyes caught something. This upgrade tome didn’t have an extra affix like her previous workbench.
The one she’d gotten before had been the Antiquity Restoration Workbench with the repair specialization, which had displayed additional exclusive recipes. Still, she was more than satisfied with this.
FearlessReaper: [If you want it, trade every resource, special item, expansion building, and facility you currently own.
[On top of that, you’ll hand over everything you acquire over the next three days. You may keep only 35 ounces of fresh water and 3 portions of food for yourself.]
Notification: [Fearless Reaper has sent a System Contract.
[Do you agree to trade all acquisitions from the next three days, as well as all current resources, special items, expansion buildings, and facilities, in exchange for the Arcane Workbench Upgrade Tome?
[Agreeing to this contract will transfer the following along with it.
[Wooden Cabin, Rare Plush Bed, Basic BBQ Grill, 2 Basic Arcane Dew Collector, Basic Arcane Dew Collector Blueprint (1/3), Unstable Arcane Wish Rod, plus multiple special blueprints and rare items. Do you accept?] Chloe paused. Her brow arched upward. ‘You’re trying to trade a single Premium upgrade tome for my entire stockpile of resources, Epic fishing rod included? You’ve got to be kidding me.‘
