Chloe woke up, stretched lazily, and let out a soft sigh, thinking to herself, ‘Nothing beats starting a perfect day with a fresh unboxing of new gear!’
She’d been itching to open that Advanced Chest.
But she remembered her routine. She slipped on her Flora Whisperer’s Cap and headed over to check on her carrot patch.
The carrots were down to just their roots, but their vitality remained strong. Beside them, a message appeared: [Recovering…]
Next to the carrots, a text box popped up: [Need fertilizer…]
Good, nothing major,’ Chloe thought to herself.
She checked on the Slime Essence Sapling Seed she’d planted in the soil.
There was a tiny progress bar showing how much it had sprouted.
However, the progress was absurdly low.
[Germination Progress: 0.02%]
Seriously? At this rate, it’ll probably take forever for this thing to sprout, Chloe muttered.
Still, with her Flora Whisperer’s Cap, she could easily tell exactly what the Slime Essence Sapling Seed was lacking
[Life concentration insufficient
(Soil fertility insufficient
(Soil elemental density insufficient
[Corruption levels exceed safe threshold)
Chloe couldn’t help but think, ‘With all those red warning messages popping up, the fact that the seed could even sprout pretty impressive”
After making sure her plants were all taken care of. Chloe couldn’t help but feel a little pleased as she turned to admire her Arcane Defense Tower.
In daylight, she noticed that the tower was engraved with special runes Faint black green patterns gave the entire structure a mysterious, foreign aura.

#ystem Message Do you want to spend 5 Rare Redwood Logs 5 Premium Sycamore Wood 10 Rare Cloud from Ore and 16 Mist Grass Plani Fibers to craft a Basic Arcane Dew Collector?]
Wait, the materials are differe now? Chloe blinked, a little confused.
Back when she first built the Arcane Dew Collector, shed only used 10 Basic Wooden Logs and 10 Simple Iron Scraps
She hadn’t had access to materials of this quality back then.
Now, Chloe found herself staring at all kinds of premium materials with actual names. Honestly, when she harvested them she’d never really paid much attention to what she was getting.
All those different materials, she just lumped them together as ‘Premium Wood, Rare Wood…”
When she first built the Basic Arcane Dew Collector, the system had warned her that the Quality would drop because of the materials she used.
With better materials this time, the quality should naturally be on a whole different level.
After Chloe hit confirm, a flash of light burst in front of her, and a Basic Arcane Dew Collector appeared, totally different from the other two she’d made before.
It was larger, its glow deeper and more subdued, with faint, mysterious patterns etched across its surface.
It was nothing like her previous collectors.
Chloe had already gone through the Magic Rune tutorial, so she could tell the markings on this collector were advanced runes she hadn’t even studied yet. Still, with her basic knowledge, she figured these were meant for gathering and purifying dew.
She leaned in for a closer look at the dew collector, and realization struck her. ‘Hold on, this thing’s been upgraded. It’s an Intermediate Arcane Dew Collector now.’
[Intermediate Arcane Dew Collector

[Effect: Periodically collects high-grade dew. The dew’s effects change based on its quality, and efficiency vanes depending on the magic in the environment.

She crouched down next to the collector, carefully checking the storage bottle at the bottom. The device stood nearly dis

It could hold way more water than before
With this Basic Arcane Dew Collector, she didn’t have to worry about running out of water anymore
Her gaze drifted to the two Basic Arcane Dew Collectors sitting off to the side She mused. Well, these two are perfect for selling.
After thinking for a moment, she decided to spend 5 Talent Points to upgrade the Intermediate Arcane Dew Collector

Chapter IL-
After all she had some Epic-grade materials on hand now.
Perhaps because her magic had grown stronger, she faintly sensed something strange when activating her talent. A massive invisible magic circle seeming to form before her, as if drawn by an unseen force
It felt like an illusion.
In the next instant, a wave of light swept over, and the newly upgraded Intermediate Arcane Dew Collector materialized before her, looking completely refreshed.
[Intermediate Arcane Dew Collector (Pleasure-seeking Version): It hates fire and darkness, but loves forests, trees, rainy days and sunshine after the rain.
[Quality: Epic
[Fixed Effect: Pure Epic Arcane Dew (3.4 fl oz/day), Rare Arcane Dew, Premium Dew (10.1 fl oz/day), Regular Water (0.4 gal) day)
[Magic Threat Level: Moderate
[Magic Traits: Bioactive/Enjoyment
[Magic Effect: High chance to collect Snow Essence (0.34 fl oz/day), Thunder Essence (0.34 fl oz/day), tiny chance of Life Essence (variable fl oz/day). It can also absorb random ambient elements. Affects a 6×6 area: causes snowfall, summons thunder, and slightly reduces corruption.
[It may occasionally hoard the dew it collects.]
Seriously?’ Chloe thought, feeling utterly speechless.
She eyed her pleasure-seeking intermediate dew collector, then glanced at her greedy, unstable fishing rod, and fell into deep thought.
She checked her materials. As expected, the Snow Eagle Core and Lightning Bear Core had vanished.
It had devoured both cores.
But honestly, the magic effects were absolutely insane.
Chloe couldn’t help but feel satisfied.
She stashed away one of the Basic Arcane Dew Collectors and replaced it with the pleasure seeking thtermediate Arcane Dew Collector in its place.
And then, right before her eyes, something surprising happened.
She watched as the dew collector, visibly disgusted by the ram soaked, muddy soil and dark ground sprouted two tiny stick figure black legs, lifted its bulky body, and waddled over to the Soil Purther, settling beside it like it had nnally found h
Chloe was completely speechless at the scene

The pressure it gave off was intense
Just looking at it made Chloe grin as she thought. Man this is awesome
She checked her Talent Points, shed finally racked up 6 Time to try upgrading my gear or skills, she mused Conveniently, she’d just collected two I pic Cores last night
Chloe had figured out the pattern by now if she wanted her talent skills to unlock more advanced magic effects, she needed stronger arcane materials
‘Two Epic cores. It should be worth a try, she thought
With that thought, she activated her talent

‘Wait, thirty?’ Chloe nearly choked.
She stared at the 30 Talent Points, lost in thought.
Then she glanced at the materials in her hands and suddenly realized Legendary items required far more Talent Points to upgrade, and the materials would need to be on an even higher grade as well.
Her Arcane Fishing Rod had become so powerful after the upgrade, likely thanks to the Epic Core she’d used.
If she wanted to upgrade the Legendary Arcane Defense Tower, she’d probably need materials of a level above Legendary.
