Chapter 61

Chloe had a faint premonition that survival difficulty would increase sharply once the Novice Protection Period ended Even with the Arcane Defense Towers, she couldn’t shake off an instinctive sense of unease about her territory.

She didn’t hesitate as soon as she saw the special item.

She didn’t even bother reading the descriptions for the other items. She simply went ahead and used the item right away.

She opened the Territory Panel.

The Territory Panel and the System Panel were completely separate sections, each with its own independent functions.

Once opened, the Territory Panel displayed the territory’s status and Health. There was even a holographic 3D model of the entire area.

She activated the item without hesitation.

Upon activation, a new management tab immediately appeared at the bottom of the territory interface: [Territory Zoning], alongside the two existing tabs, [My Territory] and [Territory Buildings].

She suspected there was also a management tab for [Territory Residents], but since her territory level was too low and the feature was not yet unlocked, it was likely hidden from view for now.

She clicked into the [Territory Zoning] section that just became available.

The Slime Cabin was in the upper-right corner, the compost bin in the diagonally opposite corner, and the Arcane Defense Tower sat right in the middle.

As for the plants, they were lined up along the same row as the Slime Cabin, just on the other side.

Even though she couldn’t tell how impressive the layout was or what the system could do with such a small plot, she went with it anyway.

It was likely a highly useful feature, just not something she could fully leverage at the moment.

After upgrading her territory to Level 1 and becoming a Lord, she initially lost her urgency about further upgrades.

But the moment she saw that reaching Level 2 would allow her to create a river, she became quite tempted.

‘A river… A surge of excitement swept through her at the thought.

Once she realized the environment inside her territory could be modified, the possibilities seemed endless.

After all, she didn’t want her territory to remain barren and empty.

With those two handy items out of the way, she went back to checking the rest of her loot.

This time, it worked.

Something in her gut told her that the seed was no ordinary item, but with nowhere to plant it, she could only set it aside for

now.

She could keenly sense her current shortage of arcane materials, so there was a good chance the reward chest would offer various high-level arcane materials.

But it would be a waste to use the System Chest right now.

She was certain the rewards would only get better the longer she waited.

It was an investment, in a sense.

Not a short-sighted person, she chose to store the reward chest in her Arcane Vault for later rather than open it here and

now.

There was also a Silver Chest among the loot, which she opened without much thought.

It never even occurred to her that she would get the material she needed the most right now.

She carefully picked up the Ignis Crystal, her heart swelling with gratitude and excitement.

She had previously used the epic Ignis Crystal in her possession to build the Basic Arcane Defense Tower.

And now, she intended to use this one as the core energy source for the Growth Rune in her soil. Its power would surely

And it was early morning when she finally finished sorting through her supplies.

Chloe basically pulled an all-nighter, working non-stop for a full 24 hours. If it weren’t for all the buffs she received in Shana’s magic cabin, she would have passed out the moment she set foot back in her territory.

Fatigue suddenly washed over her like a tidal wave now that she had finished organizing her inventory.

She used the Cleansing Spell she had just learned, hoping to relieve some of her exhaustion.

Her current outfit was the guest clothes Dawn had gifted her. The fabric was incredibly soft and comfortable, almost like the perfect pajamas.

As the Cleansing Spell sent a gentle breeze sweeping over her, she felt incredibly clean and refreshed. The dirt and grime on her body were magically swept away and carried out into the fields.

Slipping into her slippers, she entered the little cabin and set the Crystal of Knowledge back on the Crafting Table.

The elk rug under her feet was soft and fluffy, like stepping on fleecy clouds. The white single bed, though small and cramped, looked warm and inviting, as if waiting just for her to come home.

The cabin was simple, yet incredibly cozy, so much so that the howling storm outside felt like a world away. A peaceful stillness settled around her, enveloping her in quiet comfort.

Looking around her little cabin, she finally relaxed completely.

She sighed comfortably.

‘No matter how luxurious other houses may be, nothing beats my own cramped little cabin, she thought happily.

Though she envied Shana’s magical cabin, she believed that one day she, too, would transform her own little cabin into a place of great comfort. It was only a matter of time.
