Giovanni and Dominic came into the living room, still wet from the pool. My mouth watered as I

ogled at Dominic’s abs, and his muscles.

He was dripping wet, and his skin glistened.

He smirked, and looked at me knowingly.

“I’m going to get the door.” I said and quickly rushed to the door, a hot blush fanning my cheeks.

This man was going to be the death of me.

I opened the door, and froze as I was greeted by a woman.

A gorgeous woman.

She had black ebony hair and a gorgeous face. She was stunning, and had curves in all the right places. Her eyes were green, and she had the body of a model.

She was wearing a red dress that clung to her body, and matched her red high heels. She looked like a movie star, and the most shocking part? It was her striking resemblance to Dominic. She was literally the female version of him, same hair, same eyes. Sharp features, chiseled jawline, full lips, and perfect olive skin.

Noticing my silence, the two brothers decided to come check what was taking me so long.

Giovanni got to the door first and froze. His eyes widened and his mouth fell open. He lookeeclike he had seen a ghost, and that was the first time I saw genuine fear in his eyes.

“Maxine…” He whispered, looking at her.

The woman, Maxine, looked at him with tears in her eyes and ran into his arms, hugging him tight.

“Gio… I’ve missed you so much.”

Giovanni was stunned, and was unable to utter a single word.

“Dominic…”

Dominic still stood frozen, and the same expression that was on Giovanni’s face was also plastered on his.

“Maxine…” He said, his voice hoarse and deep.

She let go of Giovanni, and walked inside. It was only the we noticed the man that was next to her.

The first thing she noticed was Liam sitting on the couch, watching cartoons.

She walked over to him, and knelt in front of him. “Oh my… He looks just like Dominic. How much have I missed? I’m an aunty now? Oh, he’s so adorable.”

I looked over at Dominic and Giovanni, and they were both looking at her they still couldn’t believe

she was here.

“Who are you?” Liam asked.

She smiled, and brushed his hair. “My name is Maxine. And, I’m your daddy’s sister.”

“You’re my auntie?”

“Yes. And, I’m so glad to meet you.”

“I have an auntie?”

“Of course.”

Liam stood up and ran into her arms.

“Hi auntie Maxine. I’m Liam.”

“Hey there, cutie. You’re just so adorable. I can’t wait to spend time with you.”

As soon as Liam turned back to his color book, Maxine turned to me and finally smiled. “I had always anticipated meeting you, and you even beat my expectations. I was so sad and angry at my brother when I heard about the divorce. But I’m so glad you both found your way back to each other. It means nothing can stop love. It’s so good to finally meet you. And, thank you for loving and taking care of my brother.”

I didn’t know what to say, so I smiled, “I’ve been dying to meet you. My name’s Hailey.”

She pulled me into a hug, and I could tell that we were going to be good friends.

She looked back at her brothers and smiled at them. “We have a lot of catching up to do.”

And even if Dominic wasn’t showing it, I could see the happiness and relief in his eyes when he saw his sister. I had heard that she ran away from home when she was fifteen after their father tried to give her up for marriage to a man three times her age.

She was scared, terrified and wanted a life of her own.
