The day continued on, and we spent our time decorating the Christmas tree and putting up the

ornaments.

It was fun, and the laughter and chatter could be heard throughout the house.

We made gingerbread cookies and gingerbread men. We were having so much fun, and I couldn’t

stop smiling.

The house was filled with joy, and everyone was in a good mood. And it was finally time to exchange gifts.

“Merry Christmas!”

We all exclaimed in unison, and took our seats on the couches.

The tree was surrounded by a bunch of presents, and everyone was eager to open theirs.

We started to pass the gifts around, and everyone was happy. I got a few gifts, and so did Dominic.

And as I took the small gift box that was wrapped with a red ribbon, my heart skipped a beat.

It was from him.

Dominic.

And it was addressed to me.

To my beloved Hailey.

“Go on, open it. Don’t keep us waiting.” Felicia urged with a smile.

“Yeah, come on, open it.” Dominic added.

With shaky hands, I unwrapped the gift. My heart was pounding, and my mouth went dry. I had a feeling that it was a ring.

Was he proposing?

My fingers pulled on the red ribbon, and it fell off. I slowly took off the wrapping paper, and my

heart almost stopped beating.

It was a jewelry box.

A ring box.

I glanced at him, and he had a huge grin on his face.

“Well, open it.”

With trembling hands, I opened the box, and gasped when I saw what was inside.

I could feel the tears stinging my eyes, and could feel the lump forming in my throat.

I knew it was coming.

“Hailey…” Dominic whispered, going down on one knee in front of me. “… You’ve brought so much joy into my life. You’ve made me so happy. And you’re the best thing that has ever happened to me. I know you might think it’s too soon, you might think that we’re moving too fast. But, when you know, you know. And I know that you’re the one for me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you again. I want to wake up every morning, knowing that you’re mine again. And forever this time. I got you a Darry ring to represent how important you are to me. One love, one lifetime. Together. How precious and special you are. You’re my forever, Hailey. And I don’t want to lose you again. So, will you make me the happiest man alive and agree to be my wife?”

“Yes, yes. A million times yes.”

He took the ring from the box and slipped it into my finger.

The moment the ring touched my skin, I could feel the energy. It was like a shockwave going through my body, and it was an electrifying feeling.

I could feel the tears falling down my face, and could feel my heart swell with love and adoration

for him.

“Thank you.” I whispered, pulling him close.

“It was always yours. Now, you have it back.”

“I love you.”

“Love you more.”

“Not possible.”

He laughed, and pressed his lips against mine, kissing me deeply. The kiss was soft, and tender. And I could feel his love for me, pouring out.

Cheers and applause erupted, and the tears kept flowing.

I couldn’t believe that I was going to be his wife again. It was like a dream come true. I couldn’t stop smiling, and I couldn’t stop looking at my ring.

I had always dreamed of him proposing to me, and I could remember thinking about how he would do it. But, this was nothing like what I had imagined. He had really gone above and beyond, and did the most beautiful proposal ever.

I felt so special, and it was such an emotional moment. And now, every Christmas would be a

reminder of this moment.

This was the most perfect Christmas.

The best Christmas.

And I couldn’t ask for a better fiancé.

He handed me a small gift box, and I took it with shaky hands.

“Go on, open it.”

I slowly unwrapped the box, and could feel the anticipation build up. Then I opened the box, and let

out a loud gasp.

There was a set of keys, and a piece of paper.

“What’s this?” I asked, confused.

“Let’s go outside and see, shall we?”

Everyone followed behind us, and I couldn’t help but wonder what the surprise was.

When we reached the front door, Dominic told me to close my eyes.

So, I did.

Then, he grabbed my hand, and guided me towards the driveway.

“Open your eyes.”

When I did, my jaw dropped.

Right in front of me was a shiny grey 2026 AMG Mercedes GLE 63 coupe. My eyes almost popped out of their sockets, and the butterflies flew around in my stomach.

“Dom, oh my god. It’s too much. I can’t accept this. It’s way too much.”

“Nonsense. Nothing is too much for you. I know you can afford this, Hailey. You’re amongst the top three best doctors in the whole world. But, when you’re with me. Your money is yours. And my

“I know. But, that’s your everyday car. This is your luxury car. This is a gift for my queen. The woman who has captured my heart and soul. My love, and my life. Merry Christmas.”

“Thank you so much. I love it.”

“Come here.”

He pulled me in for a kiss, and wrapped his arms around me. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. Always.”

“Always.”

“So, are we finally going to be a family, mommy?”

We turned to see Liam peering at us with his beautiful blue eyes, and I could feel my heart melt. “Yeah, daddy is going to be marrying mommy. Is that okay, Liam? Do you approve?”

“Yes! We’re finally going to be a real family!”

He was so excited, and the joy on his face was infectious. The moment we walked back into the house, everyone was sharing our joy, the room was filled with happiness and excitement.

Well, all except one.

Tricia seemed to be lost in her thoughts, as she stabbed her plate of barely done steak (I could steal smell the blood in it), but as soon as she noticed my eyes on her, she immediately plastered a fake smile and joined in on the excitement.

“Congratulations! It’s so wonderful to hear that you two are getting married. It’s about time. You two were made for each other. Congratulations!”

She then gave me a big hug, and I could smell the scent of blood, and cigarettes.

“Thank you, Tricia. That’s very sweet of you.”

“I’m happy for you two.”

“Thank you.”

It was an awkward silence after that, and she just smiled and continued to eat.

And then the celebration began. There were cheers, and applause, and hugs and kisses. Everyone
