HAPTER TWENTY ONE–1

VALERIE

When we arrived, I quickly opened the door, and led him inside, closing it.

“So, make yourself comfortable. You can use the guest bathroom to take a shower, if you want.”

“Sounds good. Do you have a towel?”

“In the closet. Help yourself,” I said, walking to my own bathroom, and stripping off my wet clothes.

I quickly changed into some dry shorts and a tank top.

I didn’t know why I was nervous.

When I stepped back out, I saw him sitting on the couch, the towel hanging low on his waist.

God, his abs were chiseled and defined.

“I used your shampoo and body wash. I hope you don’t mind.”

“Oh, it’s fine,” I mumbled, averting my gaze. “I’ll go check if I have some clothes that would fit you. You can

borrow them. And, uh, you can sit and watch TV.

I walked towards my room and quickly searched through the closet for something. I ended up settling on

a t–shirt and sweats.

“Did one of your boyfriends leave this behind?”

“What? Oh, no,” I said, shaking my head. “I’m single. Single pringle.”

“So, there’s no guy?”

“No. Definitely not,” I said. “But, I do have some leftover Chinese food, if you’re hungry. Or, pizza. There’s a

ton of food in the fridge. It’s all frozen, but we can heat it up.”

“I’m okay. Hailey fed us a lot. I think I’m still full. Thanks, though,” he said, his eyes never leaving my face.

I cleared my throat and stood up, “Uhm, the bathroom is yours. Go ahead and get changed. I’ll wait in the kitchen. We can watch a movie, if you want.”

“Sounds good,” he said, smiling.

I quickly made my way towards the kitchen and took a seat at the table.

I couldn’t help but be nervous.

Here I am, in my apartment, and he’s half naked.

God, why did I have to drink so much wine?

I would have been able to have a proper conversation with him.

S CHAPTER TWENTY ONE 1

Clain

“Are you okay?” He asked, startling me. He was right behind me, his breath fanning against the back of my neck.

“Fine,” I whispered, and I heard him chuckle.

“Don’t worry. I’m not going to attack you or anything. If we do, it’ll be because we both want it. Not because you had one too many drinks and I’m taking advantage of you. I’m not that guy, and I never will be.”

“And if I wanted it?” I asked, quietly, and he leaned in, his lips pressing against my ear.

“Then, you know where to find me.”

My heart pounded in my chest, and I couldn’t help but blush.

“Let’s go watch a movie,” I mumbled, and he grinned.

“Sure, whatever you want,” he said, following behind me.

When I sat down, he grabbed the blanket and draped it over both of us.

He sat close, and his body was pressed against mine.

His body heat enveloped me, and his arm went around the back of the couch.

“So, what movie do you want to watch?” He asked, looking through the list, and I shrugged.

“Anything.”

“Well, that doesn’t help. How about we watch a romantic comedy? It seems fitting.”

“Sure,” I replied, and he settled on the movie, leaning back against the couch, and getting comfortable.

A few minutes in, and I felt his arm wrap around my shoulder, pulling me close. My heartbeat quickened and my face flushed.

He didn’t say a word, and neither did I.

Instead, we focused on the movie.

Or, at least, tried to.

His warm hands brushed against my thighs and the heat pooled between my legs. This man was a player,

and he knew how to seduce women.

And God, he was doing a good job at it.

Halfway through the movie, his hand rested on my inner thigh, and I felt his thumb brush against it.

He slowly turned my head, and leaned forward.

My heart thudded against my chest, and I could feel my breaths becoming uneven.

Giovanni’s hand came up, and stroked the side of my cheek, and I leaned into his touch.

He closed the distance between us, and pressed his lips against mine.

It was soft, gentle, and passionate.

I didn’t pull away, and neither did he.

He deepened the kiss, and I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

I felt him smirk against my lips, and his tongue flicked out, brushing against my lower lip.

I pulled away, and my eyes met his.

“If we continue, then, I’m not sure if I can control myself. So, unless you’re sure, we shouldn’t do this,” he

warned, and I nodded.

“I’m sure,” I whispered. “I’m positive.”

He didn’t waste another second and his lips came crashing down onto mine.

This time, the kiss was harder, more aggressive, and filled with desire.

Our tongues danced, and the kiss became more heated.

I moaned into his mouth as he kissed me, and his hand rested on my lower back.

“Giovanni,” I mumbled, and he chuckled, breaking the kiss.

“You’re beautiful. But, we shouldn’t do this here. Your bed is probably a lot more comfortable,” he

commented, and I laughed, rolling my eyes.

“Come on, let’s go.”

“With pleasure,” he said, standing up, and following behind me.

We made our way to the bedroom, and when the door closed, we were lost in a tangle of limbs.

He didn’t hold back, and his hands roamed over every inch of my body, exploring, caressing, and

massaging.

He undressed me, his fingers trailing a path along my bare skin, and I shivered.

He was rough, and the way he handled me was like an expert.

And the best part was, his hands and fingers didn’t stop moving, or touching. He didn’t leave any part of my body untouched, and explored every curve, every line, every freckle, and every scar.

“Beautiful,” he whispered, and his lips trailed a path down my stomach, his tongue licking and flicking. My

breaths became uneven, and I clutched the sheets, moaning.

Giovanni didn’t stop, and his hands continued to roam, and explore.

He left no part of me untouched, and soon enough, his hands were gripping my ass, his lips pressing a kiss
