After Rejection Divorced Luna Becomes A Famous Doctor (Hailey and Dominic) novel Chapter 55

CHAPTER FIFTYFIVE

DOMINIC

I walked back to my car after concluding the last minute meeting I had to attend. I checked the time and

saw that I couldn’t make it back to Hailey’s place to make up for the dinner I’d missed.

The last thing I wanted was to disappoint my son.

My little man.

My blood.

But, I couldn’t let my pack down. They needed me, and the Alpha was the one who had to be there for his people.

I had to leave, but I knew Giovanni would fill me in on everything. But damn, the guilt was killing me.

As I sat inside the car, my thoughts were on her. How her lips felt against mine, and how her skin felt under my touch.

I couldn’t forget the look on her face as she had looked at me. The passion, the fire, and the raw emotions. I couldn’t get enough.

Her body was so different. So much fuller, so much softer. Her hips were wider, and her stomach was flatter.

It wasn’t the same body I had held onto years ago.

And, yet, it was the same body.

The same one I’d worshiped, and loved. And now, it was all I could think about. The memories came rushing back. Every single kiss, every touch, every bite.

Everything.

The way she had moaned, the way her body had arched, the way her nails had scratched, the way her toes had curled.

And the way she had said my name.

She had looked at me with such intensity, such desperation, and such longing.

Like she’d been starved for my touch.

The hunger and need in her eyes, the way her hands had gripped the sheets, and the way her lips had trembled.

She had bared her soul to me. Her vulnerability, her desires, and her deepest needs.

I had seen it all, and it was so overwhelming. But of course, she would regret it later.

And she was right.

We had made a huge mistake.

Something we couldn’t take back.

The moon was full, and the night sky was lit. The air was chilly, and the wind was cold. I drove back to my house, already getting ready to hear a earful from Yasmine whose calls I’d been ignoring.

When I opened the front door, the house was quiet and empty. The lights were off, and everything was dark. Letting out a sigh of relief, I started walking up the stairs when the lights suddenly turned on.

Where have you been, Dominic?

Yasmine was sitting on the couch in the living room, her arms were crossed and her lips were pursed. I had a pack meeting.I said curtly, before walking past her.

Don’t walk away from me!I heard her footsteps, and I rolled my eyes.

What’s going on, Dominic? Why have you been acting strange lately?

Nothing, Yasmine. It’s been a long day, and all I want is to go to sleep.

You’re lying! You can’t hide anything from me, Dominic. I know you. Now, tell me. Tell me, or I will find out

myself. You know what, actually, I’ll find out. If you don’t tell me, I will look for myself.

Ignoring her, I walked into my bedroom and she started pulled off my shirt, throwing it on the bed.

I walked into the closet to grab a new one and when I came out, Yasmine was holding my shirt, a mixture of horror, disgust, and disbelief was written on her face.

What’s this? What is this, Dominic? Did you start wearing lipstick? Red lipstick? What is going on?

She held up the shirt, and the red stain was so prominent.

Nothing, Yasmine. I was out, and a girl spilled some wine on my shirt. It’s nothing.

No, no, no. This is not just wine. This is red lipstick. You’re lying, and you know it. This shirt reeks of a woman’s perfume! Someone kissed you, and you can’t lie to me. Who was she? Where were you? Did you fuck her, huh?

What is the matter with you, Yasmine? Get a hold of yourself. Why are you making a big deal out of this? It was nothing, and it doesn’t concern you. Why do you have to make a big scene about this? What is it to you, Yasmine?

What is it to me, Dominic? What is it to me?She shrieked.

Are you cheating on me, huh? Did you fuck someone, and come home to me, and fuck me? Are you playing with my feelings? It’s that bitch, isn’t it? That bitch Hailey.

Stop saying her name! Stop, Yasmine. It has nothing to do with her. Leave her alone.”

* CHAPTERER TY FIV!

Leave her alone, Dominic? Oh, I will. You don’t have to worry about that. She has caused me enough trouble. She has taken enough from me. I’m done.

She turned around and left, slamming the door shut.

I let out a breath and fell on the bed.

I knew this was a bad idea, and I should have kept my distance, but it was easier said than done.
