CHAPTER EIGHTY-SEVEN
YASMINE
“Because he’s supposed to have them with me! Not her! And I’m not going to sit and watch him have a family with her. They deserve to be unhappy. He deserves to lose the love of his life, and she deserves to lose the one man who could make her happy. They don’t deserve happiness. I will ruin their relationship, and make sure that they both pay for what they did. I will make sure I have his heir. Even if it means getting rid of her bastard son, then so be it.”
“Yasmine, don’t be a fool. You can’t go back, and the damage has been done. He already knows, and you have no control over him. Don’t do something that will cause a lot of problems. I’m telling you, leave things as they are. You have no control over his life. Stop messing with him, because it might be the last thing you do. And I don’t want my only child to die a gruesome death. So, stop it.”
“You’re telling me to stop? After you were the one who pushed me to cast the spell, and have him by my side, and now you’re telling me to stop?”
“Yes. Because, the man has already moved on. He’s already with her, and you can’t change that. So, stop being a fool, and move on. Because, there’s no going back. What’s done is done. You can’t undo a spell, and the only way to reverse it is if the man loses the person he truly loves. Death of the love of his life is the only thing that can make another spell work, and not have him remember a thing. You’ve lost him, and there’s no point in fighting. You can’t change his mind, and he doesn’t want you anymore. So, leave him alone, and focus on yourself.”
“Wait…” I sat up, my hope getting high with this new found information. “You mean if Hailey dies, I can have him again?”
Seeing where I was going with my question, my mother narrowed her eyes. “Yasmine, don’t. I’m warning you. Dominic will not go easy on you, and will make sure that he makes your life a living hell. So, stop whatever is on your mind, and don’t you dare touch her. Just let it go, and let him have
the life he deserves.”
“And what about me? Huh? Why is everyone so quick to forget about me, and what I went through? Why is no one asking how I’m feeling, or the fact that I lost the only person who has ever loved me? Why is no one asking, or feeling sorry for me? Is it because no one cares about me? Am I that
unimportant and worthless that no one cares?”
“Yasmine, that’s not-”
“It’s okay, mother. I don’t need your pity or sympathy. You don’t mean it anyway. So, don’t bullshit me that you don’t want to lose me. Only child or not, you never wanted me. You only had me because you wanted a high position for yourself. But when things didn’t go the way you wanted,

and I couldn’t help you achieve your goals, you gave up on me. You never wanted me, and only pretended like you did.”
“Stop it, Yasmine. You’re being unreasonable. And yes, I have to admit that I never loved you the way a mother is supposed to love her child. But, that doesn’t mean that I don’t want you alive. Don’t
be selfish. Everything I’ve ever done is for the better of you. For us. And, you were the one who wanted a spell, and had to go after a powerful alpha. And because you were blinded by power, and
had no control, it caused a lot of trouble. Don’t act like a victim when you’re not, and don’t blame
others for your mistakes. If you want someone to blame, blame yourself. If you want someone to
hate, then hate yourself. Because, everything was your doing.”
“Shut up! Just shut up, and leave me alone. Go find another place to live, and don’t you dare set
foot near me. Because, I will kill you.”
“You’ve gone mad, Yasmine. And I have nothing to do with this. I’m telling you the truth, and I’m not the enemy. And you can’t send me out of here! I lost my home and everything I have to my name because of you! So you damn well know that I’m not going anywhere!”
“Well, you have the coven, don’t you? Isn’t that the sole reason why you denied me? So you won’t lose access to the coven. Well, you won and I lost. They banished me too, but didn’t banish you because you are ‘innocent’. So you can go back there, and pretend like you didn’t know a thing. And continue to be the fake and pathetic mother that everyone thinks you are.”
“You’re crossing the line, Yasmine. And this isn’t the end. You have no right, and have no business sending me out.”
“But, I do. You made sure to ruin my life, and take away the only thing that meant something to me. So, if you can do the same, so can I. You either leave my house or face the consequences. It’s your
call.”
“You’ve gone mad, Yasmine. Completely mad.”
“And you’re a terrible mother, who deserves nothing but misery.”
“Yasmine!”
“What? What can you do to me, huh? Kill me? Then go ahead and try. But, if you touch me, you will never see the light of the day. And you will die a painful death. So, try me.”
I stood up, and walked past her.
“I have a life too, and I don’t care about yours. You ruined mine, so I have the right to ruin yours.”
I opened the door, and stepped out.
“This isn’t over, Yasmine. I swear, you are going to destroy yourself. And I will have no part in it.
