Against Cruelty, She Grew Strong (by Anastasia Glover) novel Chapter 677

Chapter 677 Liam Burns With Jealous Doubt

Liam frowned, “Just the two of you?”

“This is our home, of course it’s just us. Who are you? Why did you break in? Leave now or I’m calling the police!”

Liam strode past him and searched every room.

He checked every corner, made sure no one was hiding, and finally let out a breath of relief.

Tatiana hadn’t betrayed him.

So where was she?

He pulled out his phone and called Tatiana.

Her ringtone sounded from outside.

He looked up and saw Tatiana standing in the doorway, her face cold.

“Tatiana.”

He walked toward her and reached for her hand—but she pulled away.

“What are you doing here?”

Liam went quiet.

Tatiana let out a cold laugh, “I get it. You followed me?”

He rubbed his forehead, “No. I was worried about you.”

“Worried enough to stalk me, Liam. Impressive.”

He could tell she was angry. He tried to soothe her, “You don’t know this circle well. I was afraid they’d lead you astray.”

“Oh, so you even know where I went.”

Liam was at a loss for words.

But then something occurred to him. He quickly asked, “And the person you were with…”

“Tatiana, who’s this?”

The call of her name drew both their attention.

Vane walked over in a robe, still wearing the irritation of someone interrupted.

“Who’s this guy? Busting in here like that. You scared Neo.”

“My husband.”

Vane looked surprised, “Your husband?”

Liam was equally thrown, “Your friend?”

Tatiana stared at him coldly, “Is that a problem? He’s a friend I ran into here. Name’s Vane. He saved my life years ago, then disappeared. I only just found him.”

Vane caught on right away. He smiled and said, “Looks like there’s been a misunderstanding, sir.”

“Neo, come here.”

The boy who looked like a girl came over obediently and said, “Hello.”

Only then did Liam feel a twinge of awkwardness and guilt.

He seemed to have gotten the wrong idea.

Tatiana smirked, “Satisfied now?”
