Chapter 678 Survivors’ Vow To Destroy Langstrom
They just kept enduring, year after year, living in hatred.
Vane even went so far as to get plastic surgery, changed his face, and blended into the club as an escort.
His plan was to get close to the powerful figures. Even if he had to sacrifice himself, he’d take any opportunity.
Today, that opportunity showed up.
Vane couldn’t fully confirm whether she was trustworthy. But they couldn’t afford to wait for another chance.
“We’ll trust her. We don’t have a better option. Tell everyone—meet at the usual spot tonight.”
“Got it.”
Norman met up with Jasper.
Seeing his old friend approaching, Norman instinctively walked up, “What are you—”
Before he could finish, a fist slammed into his face. He was completely stunned.
Lucas watched, the corner of his mouth twitching up in a small smile—until a freezing glare pinned him in place.
Jasper said coldly, “You’re already half dead. I won’t touch you.”
Lucas was speechless.
That stung.
“Playing games and hiding things—does that amuse you?”
Norman wiped the blood from his lip. He knew Jasper had come, probably on Tatiana’s orders.
He hadn’t expected that clumsy trick to work for long anyway.
“I had no choice.”
“Who did it?”
“Todd.”
Jasper clearly recognized the name. His eyes narrowed, “Didn’t finish the job back then?”
“Yeah. He got away.”
“Idiot.”
Norman accepted that.
He was an idiot. He’d messed up.
“Where is she?”
Norman explained the situation to Jasper, including the note.
Jasper made the call on the spot, “Work with her. But adjust your deployment…”
Norman and Lucas listened carefully.
They all knew—if they missed this chance, none of them would ever save Tammy.
Basement.
Tammy was covered in blood.
Fake blood.
It wasn’t hers.
But she looked absolutely wrecked—on the verge of death.
That pissed off Todd, who’d come to mess with her.
“The hell is this? How am I supposed to have fun with her like this?”
Manna, standing behind him, smiled sweetly, “Sorry, I got a little carried away. My bad. How about I keep you company instead?”
Todd knew about the bad blood between them. He didn’t suspect anything, but he was annoyed.
“She’s supposed to be delivered tomorrow. You messed her up like this?”
Manna leaned against him, “She won’t die. We’ll give her an adrenaline shot and she’ll wake up. We only promised to hand over a live body—no warranty on what condition she’s in.”
