Lucianna’s POV

I was trembling, not with fear, not with excitement, but something different. A feeling I never encountered before I met him, a feeling that was there when he looks at me like this.

Disgust? No. He was not disgusted but there was a faint side of that emotion mixed with something else. I couldn’t put a word with it.

“Cat got your tongue?” he smirked, crossing his arms in front of his chest and tilted his head a bit. “Go back. I don’t want to see you.” he said in a clenched jaw.

“I-Is there something wrong with me?” I managed to ask, my voice was in its lowest tone. I think my head was clouded with his scent, and I knew it was the mate bond talking but I tried my best to not get swayed by the pull.

Because I felt like I wanted to jump on him right now. And if the situation was not like this, I would’ve.

The Alpha just kept on staring at me, making me uneasy but I deny to avoid our eye contact. Even though this was the hardest part I ever encounter with someone. Looking straight in the eyes was never a struggle for me, but my mate’s eyes was just drowning me, too overwhelming.

It was too much for me to handle.

“I told you, someone will take you to my house.” he said, ignoring my question. So there was something wrong with me for him, huh?

I would never back down, mate! I waited for this moment just to meet you, I wouldn’t cringe just because you said and showed that you dislike me.

“Why wouldn’t you?”

He raised his brow at me. “Why would I?”

This--!! Okay, calm down. Win him over, Lucianna!

“You’re my mate. Even if I don’t know your name, I am your responsibility now. Isn’t it just right that you take me to my new home?”

“What?” he exclaimed. His brows are furrowed as he frown, questioning. What was wrong with what I said?

“I’m in your care, Don’t you know about this mate thing-”

“Not that part.” his jaw clenched, and I swear! From the way he looked at me right now, it was like I would be eaten whole!

But what did he say?

Wait, what did I said that made him--Oh!

“Uh, I don’t know your name? Is that it?”

He bit his lower lip while looking at me intensely. Then, he sighed and let go of that lip. Oh God!

The way his lip got wet and red just made me so fucking hot.

“You don’t know me.” he said word by word. Was that wrong, though? We just met today so why was he acting like this?

“Oh! Do you want to introduce ourselves?” maybe he wanted to get to know me and he wanted me to know him, right? “I’m Lucianna.” I said, extending my hand to him for a handshake.

Get it, please. Get it!

“You’re even more disappointing than I thought.” he said with a straight and stern face.

I was confused with what I heard from him but the feeling of being ashamed got to me more. My head bowed and I looked down to the ground, questioning myself.

Why? What did I do wrong to disappoint him?

Like a knife stabbing on my chest, my heart ached.

No, no. I didn’t do anything.

My hand slowly retreated together with my world that seems to be mixed in question and confusion, thoughts that were not helpful at all.

But before my hand fell on my side, he grabbed it! I looked at our hand, our skin touched each other and then I looked up at him with wide eyes.

He shook my hand!

“Jacob.” he said shortly, giving my hand a tight squeeze. “That’s my name.” then he let go of my hand.

The way our skin touched sent an incredible electricity down to my core that I almost quiver! Damn! Damn, it felt good!

“What else, now? Harley will be here in a few so head back inside.”

I was in a haze and my heart was still in chaos! How can he make me feel unwanted and getting my hopes up again?!

Oh, God! I wouldn’t quit with this mate thing even with whatever aloofness I see in him!

Jacob… Jacob… His name sounded so handsome! He was handsome!

“You look even more dumb being in a daze like that. Just get out of here.” he said and looked away, ready to turn around but I reached on his arm to stop him.

“Wait!”

My words were cut when he suddenly groaned as if in pain before dipping his head on my neck.

I gasped and my eyes widened when I felt his wet, warm tongue touched the wound of his claim on my neck!

“Ahh~” I could not contain my moans! The way his tongue touched my skin was electrifying, it was blowing my mind!

Jacob groaned and I felt his hands snaked on my back! Our skin were bare touching each other!

Was this what he meant by despising me? His actions were far from his words!

I felt him suck on my neck, and it was not the claim-wound anymore! He was licking and sucking on the skin just below my ear and it was awesome!

“J-Jacob--”

More! I want more of this! More of him!

The way he touch me, I swear I felt like a gem, something he possess dearly. This was the power of the bond, this was what I wished and I was having a taste of it!

I was snatched out of my haze when Jacob suddenly stopped, cursing softly before pulling himself away from me.

I smiled upon seeing his expression. He couldn’t look at me and his face were all red! Oh, my! Was he shy?

Maybe he was a virgin? Was that why he kept on pushing me away?

Ohhh, I’m also inexperience but I’m ready to go all out for you, mate!

I sensed someone and looked around. I saw a guy standing in a safe distance. “Alpha Jacob,” he greeted.

I looked at Jacob and found him looking at me with the same intensity he has been eyeing me since earlier.

He sighed and turn to the man who just popped out of nowhere. “You’re late. Take this woman to my house.” he said and turned his back at me.

What? That was it? No! I was still after a kiss!

“W-Wait! You should come with me!”

“Don’t push it.” he just said without stopping or looking back to me.

The heck!
