Chapter 10
Eduardo slammed the documents onto the floor with force, his eyes rimmed with red.
His heart was filled with overwhelming grief and despair.
Catherine had taken advantage of Angelique’s unformed values and compassion during her student years, and step by step, she had taken everything away from Angelique.
Yet he himself had fallen for it, watching helplessly as he indulged someone so unworthy, driving their own biological daughter out, and in the end, not even seeing her one last time before she died.
He hadn’t even managed to see his daughter for the final time!
Shameless! Pathetic!
Eduardo cried out in utter agony, sitting helplessly on the floor, clutching his head and sobbing like a child.
Kenneth simply stared blankly at the will in his hand.
There was not a single mention of himself or Lenora.
It only stated that everything under Angelique’s name would be donated to charity, free of charge.
It seemed Angelique had never forgiven him from beginning to end.
But just how desperate must Angelique have been before her death, to not even mention him or
Lenora…
Catherine stood frozen, her whole body cold, her heart pounding violently.
She had been found out…
All the secrets she had tried to hide before had now been exposed…
What should she do?
What should she do?
Suddenly, Catherine grabbed onto Sandra and Eduardo’s pant legs and fell to her knees with a

thud.
“Dad, Mom, none of this is true! Angelique set me up!”
“Set you up?” Kenneth’s calm voice sounded behind her.
But Catherine broke out in a cold sweat on her back. She slowly turned around, only to find Kenneth’s gaze was steady, but his eyes were icy cold.
“Set you up? Did she set you up to the point where you signed to take everything under her
name?”
“Set you up? Did she set you up so you could seize her only chance at treatment, leaving her to die in pain?”
“Catherine,” Kenneth gritted his teeth, “it was you who killed Angelique!”
Sandra wailed and grabbed Catherine by the throat.
“Give me back my daughter’s life! Give me back my daughter’s life!!”
The scene was chaotic, everyone started fighting in the office, and it took a lot of effort to restrain them.
But what use was crying and fighting now?
Angelique was already dead, and she died with her final regrets.
It took Sandra a long time to calm down. She wiped the tears from her face and stood
She looked down at Catherine from above.
“From today on, the Benson family’s adoption procedure for Catherine is officially void.”
“At the same time, we will sue to recover all the support payments for Catherine over the years. I will make you pay back every cent!”
“It was my mistake, bringing a thankless wolf into our home, and it cost me my own daughter. I will hold you accountable!”
Catherine went mad, “No! Don’t do this to me! Mom… Mrs. Benson!”
“Mrs. Benson, you’ve adopted me for so long. Even if it’s not as deep as the blood bond you had with Angelique, we’ve still built feelings over all these years, haven’t we?”
“I really didn’t mean to take Angelique’s things. Angelique had everything, even if she let a little

slip through her fingers to me, it was already wonderful for me!”
“Mrs. Benson, I’m begging you not to void the adoption. If you do, I’ll die, my beast of a father will drive me to death!”
Sandra harshly shook off Catherine’s hand, her expression icy.
“We were deceived by you, and my daughter can never come back, but we will not keep you by our side any longer.”
“You’ve already contacted your father anyway. Go back to your biological father; it’s better for both sides.”
After Sandra finished speaking, she pulled Eduardo out of the office, with Kenneth following closely behind.
Catherine rushed over and hugged Kenneth, “Kenneth! Kenneth, don’t go!”
