Amnesia Erased Luna's Pain and Love novel Chapter 2

They said the Witch of the Woods could grant any wish—if you were willing to pay the price.

The reply came swiftly, "Understood, ma'am. I'll prepare the potion and leave it at the usual place."

Florence tucked her phone away and stared out the window as the landscape rushed by.

Losing her memory was a gift from the Moon Goddess—a chance to escape this life and start over, far away from the past.

"Don't take me home," she told Kenelm Butler, the driver. "Take me to the Elder Council."

Kenelm blinked in surprise, glancing at her through the rearview mirror. Though confused, he responded respectfully. His loyalty lay with the Alpha—but she was still, technically, the Luna. "Yes, Luna."

At the Elder Council—a place that smelled faintly of parchment and dried herbs—things went smoother than expected.

A staff member in ceremonial robes informed her, voice calm and expression unreadable, that the legal request to sever her family ties would be finalized in about two weeks.

Back in the car, Florence hesitated before speaking. "Don't tell the Alpha about today."

Kenelm gripped the steering wheel a little tighter. "Luna ... the Alpha doesn't ... allow us to speak of you in his presence."

Florence's lips curved bitterly.

So Baldwin loathed her that much. He couldn't even stand to hear her name.

Back at the villa, she stood in the foyer and looked around. The place felt both familiar and foreign.

Everything here matched her taste—warm tones, soft fabrics, and handpicked decorations. Each detail whispered of the hope she once had when decorating this home, the naive dream of a future with Baldwin, filled with love, devotion, and a mating bond. But the house was cold, untouched for so long that it had the stillness of a lavish tomb.

On the wall hung their wedding photo. She gazed at him with love burning in her eyes, while he looked ahead with icy detachment.

Shaking her head, Florence climbed the stairs.

She printed out a copy of the Termination of Mate Bond Agreement and signed her name at the bottom.

"It's okay," she whispered.

Wiping away the tears, she placed the diary back in the drawer. "It's okay, Florence. No one loves you, but that's okay.

"From now on, love yourself—and that'll be enough."

Moonlight spilled through the window, pooling at her feet like a quiet blessing. It felt like the Moon Goddess was watching and offering her strength.

For the next few days, Baldwin didn't come back.

With no memories and no love left to cling to, Florence didn't find the silence hard to bear. If anything, it was a relief of quietly waiting until the mate bond was dissolved.

Even her wolf, after all this time, finally stopped crying.

But that fragile peace shattered the moment her mother, Tara Wraith, called—her voice sharp, commanding, and impossible to ignore.
