Upon hearing that Madison was going to throw her out, Natalie looked surprised. "Aren't you good friends with Kaitlyn? If you treat me like this, aren't you afraid she won't be friends with you anymore?"
"Shut up!" Kaitlyn's furious shout suddenly came from behind the crowd.
Madison and the others turned to see Kaitlyn and Johnny walking in from outside. They both wore dark expressions.
Madison arched a brow and instantly sensed the tense atmosphere between the two. It seemed the pressure she had applied recently had worked.
With that thought in mind, she kept her expression neutral and said with a chuckle, "Ms. Swanson and Mr. York, you're here.
"What perfect timing. I'm dealing with someone who disregards company orders. She claims to be like a sister to you, so I can't dismiss her.
"I had no idea that, despite being the chairwoman of Quinn Group, I don't even have the right to fire someone."
The moment Kaitlyn heard this, she knew things were bad.
"Ms. Quinn, you're joking. You're the chairwoman of Quinn Group. If you want to fire someone, all it takes is a word from you," Kaitlyn said.
She then glared at Natalie and barked, "You're fired! Pack your things and leave immediately."
Natalie froze. She opened her mouth as if to say something.
But before she could speak, Kaitlyn cut her off, "Didn't you hear me? Pack up and go!"
With that, Kaitlyn shot her a meaningful look.
Only then did Natalie come back to her senses. She resentfully hummed in agreement before turning away to pack her things.
Satisfied, Kaitlyn finally tore her gaze from Natalie and looked at Madison. But before Kaitlyn could say anything, she saw Madison curl her lips in a mocking smile.
