That feeling of dread hit Sierra fast.

That night, Sierra got stuck at 99% while learning the Complete Surgery Guide. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn’t hit 100%.
Frustrated, she decided to get some rest. She’d barely slept three hours when someone pounded on the door like a meteor. jolting her awake.
Alex shouted from outside, his voice full of panic, “Sierra, something’s happened!”
Sierra’s eyes snapped open.
Sophie beat her to the door and asked, “What happened?”
Sierra hurriedly threw on her down jacket and rushed out.
Alex called out, “Just come out and see! Something’s happened to the dolphins and Leah.”
That news sent Sierra bolting out the door.
The ship’s floodlights lit up the pitch-black sea, and Sierra saw most of the dolphins floating sluggishly on the surface. gazing at her, desperate for help.
Leah kept flipping onto its back, almost out of breath, then quickly righting itself. Its voice trembled with tears as it whimpered, “Sierra, I feel awful. Everything hurts. It hurts so much.”
The orca leader and the other orcas were trying their best to steady Leah, keeping it from floating aimlessly.
The orca leader looked at Sierra, eyes full of desperation. “I’m begging you. Please save Leah.”
Seeing the situation, Sierra threw on her wetsuit and dove straight into the sea.
The ocean at three in the morning was bone-chilling and creepy. Sierra shivered as she got used to the water, then hurried over to check on Leah.
It didn’t take long for Sierra to notice that the rotting flesh she’d cleaned off Leah yesterday had already decayed again. Worse yet, the wound had grown; now it was more than half again as big as it was before.
Leah’s belly and tail fin were raw and festering, with huge patches of ulcerated skin.
And when Sierra checked the other dolphins, she found they were suffering from the same thing.
‘Something’s not right, Sierra thought, a chill running down her spine. ‘Something’s seriously wrong here!
Sierra’s face darkened as she turned to the wildlife rescue team. “Get every expert down here, now! Check all the orcas and dolphins. No, check every sea animal in these waters.
“Look for any signs of sores or lesions on their skin and inside their mouths.”
Sierra’s heart thudded with dread. ‘Please, don’t let it be what I’m thinking. Sierra pleaded inwardly.
When the experts heard about the situation, they didn’t care about the freezing water at all. Some didn’t even have wetsuits on, just life jackets, and dove straight in.
Soon, Sierra received updates from experts around the globe.

Chapter 131
“The orca pod’s mouth lining is badly damaged, but there’s nothing wrong on the outside, and no fever detected”
“The dolphins in Area A have damaged mouth lining, their wounds are festering, and they’ve got a fever!”
“The dolphins in Area B have damaged mouth lining, the wounds are badly infected and festering, plus they’ve got a fever!”
“The dolphins in Area C-”
Those results hit Sierra hard. She couldn’t help but squeeze her eyes shut.
Leah, still clueless, gently nudged Sierra’s face with its snout. “Sierra, why do you look so sad all of a sudden? Are we really that sick?”
Sierra snapped out of it the moment she heard Leah’s sweet, innocent voice.
She shoved her worries aside, ruffled Leah’s head, and said, “You’re all sick right now, so I need to go back and think of a solution. Promise me you’ll take the medicine I give you, okay?”
“I will,” Leah replied, its voice trembling with worry. “I won’t die, right? I’m only three. If I die, my mom, my sisters, my brothers, and my uncles will all be so sad.”
“Wah, I’m still an innocent orca!” Leah whimpered.
‘I really, really don’t want to die,’ Leah thought. ‘There’s still so much I want to do. Play with the dolphins, hang out with the turtles, and be best friends with Finn forever.
Sierra gently stroked Leah’s smooth head. “No, you won’t. Trust me.”
Sierra climbed back aboard in silence, and nobody pressed her for answers.
She was only human, not a miracle worker. Everything had happened so suddenly; anyone would be left reeling.
Everyone just sat there, waiting for Sierra to say something.
Sierra was deep in thought, her mind racing. Suddenly, a flash of inspiration hit her. She whipped around to Alex. “Quick, let me see your parents’ notes one more time!”
Alex didn’t hesitate; he pulled out his phone right away.
Sierra flipped through the photos in a hurry, stopping when she found the page where Alex’s parents had snapped pictures of the orcas and jotted down their observations.
There was a word written: [Bruise.]
But the word had been crossed out, and in the margin, Alex’s parents had scribbled a string of barely legible words. [Pollution caused by the factory.]
In the ship’s conference room, Sierra sat at the head of the table, with Ethan, Mark, Alex, Timothy, and Sophie seated in order down the line.
Once all the international experts had arrived, Sierra said, “I have two suspicions. First, there might be some kind of epidemic sweeping through all the marine life, causing widespread sickness.”
She paused, her gaze sweeping over everyone, then said in a low, serious voice, “Waste dumping.”
That single word made every expert in the room suck in a sharp breath.

Chapter 131
Sierra printed out copies of Alex’s parents’ notes and had Sophie pass them around. Then she turned to look at Alex.
Alex said, “My parents were marine biologists from Hustralia. Fifteen years ago, they went to Elyria to observe dolphins. They spent three years there and not only discovered Kill Cove, but also uncovered another secret.
“There’s a strong possibility that illegal sewage dumping is happening in these waters, which has been damaging the local marine environment.
“The symptoms we’re seeing in the dolphins and orcas are a perfect match with what my parents recorded.”
The experts looked over the printed notes, their faces deeply concerned.

“But how are we supposed to figure out where the sewage is being dumped? And what are we supposed to do about all these sea creatures? We don’t have nearly enough medicine for them,” one of the experts said.
Sierra replied, “I’ll have Coleson report this to the Elyrian authorities. And I’ll get the healthy fish to help us locate the source of the pollution.”
None of the experts seemed to understand what she meant by having the fish help find the sewage outlet.
All they saw was Sierra diving back into the water after setting everything up. She talked to the dolphins and orcas, and soon, a few healthy ones headed out into the deep.
It didn’t even take an hour before Sierra came back with the news. They’d found the sewage outlet.
Experts were all stunned.
Then, a few dolphins swam ahead to guide the way, with the ship trailing right behind, until they arrived at a super secluded bay.
This place was totally off the grid; almost nobody ever came here, not even cargo ships.
Right now, sewage was gushing out from a pipe hidden under the sand, flooding the bay. The water went from crystal clear to nasty and finally turned pitch black.
Each time the waves rolled, the black water spilled out into the
open sea.
Gasp! The experts gasped, chills running down their spines as they took in the scene before them.
Just then, Ethan and Coleson walked over, both looking grim.
“Elyria has replied,” Ethan said.
Sierra asked, “What did they say?”
Coleson, clearly annoyed, said, “They flat-out denied everything and threatened to kick us out of the country.”
Ethan added, “And they won’t give us any medicine either. They’re just washing their hands of the whole thing.”
With everything reported so clearly, if the locals actually cared about the dolphins, there was no way they could have missed
And even if Kill Cove was super secret, a drone or a plane would have picked it up. They all knew and just chose to ignore it.
Sierra was well aware of what was going on. “I’ll find a way,” she said.
Sophie looked at Sierra’s furrowed brow, then at the sewage spreading out into the sea. “Right now, our top priority is to spread the news and put a global spotlight on these two problems.”

Chapter 131
That was the easy part.
Sierra thought for a moment. “Elyria doesn’t care about them at all, but we can’t just sit back and do nothing.
56)
“We need to get them out of these waters before the pollution does even more damage. But we don’t have enough medicine for the trip.”
She trailed off, not finishing her sentence.
But everyone understood, they barely had enough medicine to last a day. And even if they could move the animals, where would they go? Where could they possibly survive?
All that awaited them was death.
After hearing the translated words, the international experts could only sigh deeply.
“First, let’s get the marine life out of here!” Sierra didn’t even hesitate. She declared, “Elyria’s not going to lift a finger to help, but Hustralia will. And so will the experts right here with us!”
She snapped into action. “If Elyria wants us gone, then we’ll head straight back to Hustralia! If they won’t give us any medicine, we’ll handle it ourselves!”
Sierra had Ethan and Coleson divvy up the tasks among the international experts.
She told Alex to get in touch with Henry and Thomas back in Hustralia, and sent Mark and Timothy off on the yacht with cameras to film and scoop up samples of the polluted seawater.
Sierra came up to the surface and filled the sea creatures in on what was happening.
There were way too many animals in the ocean for her to relocate them all, but she was determined to get as many out as possible.
Sierra said, “If you’re still feeling alright, spread the word to the others, tell everyone to stay far away from here. If you can’t leave, dive deep and lay low. I’ll figure something out for the rest of you.”
After she finished, Sierra turned to Sophie. “Let’s start a livestream.”
She wanted the whole world to see what the Elyrians were really like.

Chapter 132
Sierra’s popularity in Hustralia was still going strong.
With the unstable signal out at sea, Sierra rarely went live, so everyone could only leave comments on WonderWild Zoo’s page or Sierra’s personal account.
Netizens kept telling Thomas to give Sierra a raise every single day.
Thomas looked at the comments and thought, ‘Sierra is the boss. I’m the one who gets paid. Imagine the teacher getting turned into the student’s sidekick. Would you believe it?’
Now that Sierra started streaming, fans flooded into her livestream.
56
[Wow, Sierra really is something else. The foreign expert next to her is getting roasted by the sun, but Sierra’s still glowing.]
[Sierra, you went up against the Elyrians all on your own. You’re a real legend!]
[What you’re doing is incredible. From now on, I’m your most loyal fan!]
[Sierra, what’s the stream about today?]
Sierra checked out the viewer count and had Sophie pull up the exact numbers backstage. Not even three minutes in, and the stream had already hit a hundred thousand viewers.
Sierra curved her lips into a smile. She hadn’t bothered with the comments on Hustralian sites, but Ethan and Timothy had already given her the gist.
Having this many people tuning in was actually a plus.
Sierra said, “Welcome to the stream, everyone. Today’s stream is all about how Elyria’s illegal dumping of wastewater is forcing marine life to migrate.”
As soon as Sierra finished talking, viewers could hear the haunting calls of dolphins echoing around her, mixed with the sounds of all kinds of sea creatures.
Sophie swung the camera around, revealing water that had turned pitch black. In the distance, where the pollution hadn’t reached yet, the ocean was teeming with massive marine animals of every kind.
The comments section exploded.
[Are those orcas and dolphins? Why are they hanging out together?]
[Am I seriously the only one asking why the water’s black?]
[What did Sierra mean by illegal wastewater dumping?]
Sierra was openly calling out Elyria now, so she made sure to record Coleson’s conversation with the local Elyrian official.
After hearing it, the viewers were totally confused.
Sierra said, “Early this morning, a pod of orcas and dolphins came to our ship seeking help. Later, we discovered that most of the marine animals had damage to their mouths and skin, some of it pretty serious.”
After she finished speaking, Sierra waved Leah over.
Leah had perked up a lot after taking its meds, and as soon as Sierra called, it swam right over.
