Chapter 197 Sharon’s Tricks Again?

The zoo staff were all healthy, but in Hustralia, tens of millions of people with disabilities couldn’t realize their own worth through work.

Just like Carsey, because of his disability, he was stuck doing the dirtiest jobs, and anyone could just bully him whenever they wanted.

After thinking it over, Sierra decided to call an internal meeting with the wildlife rescue team.

When everyone heard what Sierra had to say, they agreed, but they also started analyzing the problems and the challenges they’d face next.

“There aren’t many jobs for people with disabilities. First, most companies don’t have enough financial support. Second, the pay doesn’t match their abilities.

“If the pay is too low, they might not want to work. But if it’s the same as for other staff, the ones who do more work might feel resentful, Mark analyzed.

Ethan nodded. “But I agree with Sierra’s proposal. The zoo’s tickets are sold out every day, and with the government subsidy, we won’t be short on money like before for the next few years.

“So hiring some disabled employees isn’t out of the question.”

Alex said, “We could create special jobs just for people with disabilities. As for pay, we could pay them by the hour, 10 dollars an hour. The more they work, the more they earn.”

Timothy was smart, but he wasn’t great at organizing things.

He nodded in agreement first, then said, “I agree with Alex’s proposal, but we still need to set limits on their working hours.

“People with disabilities often struggle to make ends meet, and I’m worried they might overwork themselves.”

They spent three hours in the meeting room, and finally, they came up with a plan.

That afternoon, Sierra was back on stream.

Sierra’s latest antics had been blowing up online these past few days.

So, as soon as the stream started, everyone in chat wanted Sierra to show them Solomon.

Of course, Sierra agreed, Solomon was basically a celebrity online now, and it always put on a show for the viewers.

As she walked, Sierra started talking to chat about hiring people with disabilities.

Sierra took the staff-only corridor, passing by the tourists from a distance.

When Sierra walked in, there was a tourist with a huge chunk of beef. Everyone was waiting to see Solomon jump through the flaming hoop.

As soon as Sierra entered, Solomon caught her scent. But when it saw that massive piece of beef, it didn’t hesitate for a second. It leaped right through the flaming hoop, then sat up and did its lucky pose at the glass.

Sure enough, the kind-hearted humans slid the big chunk of meat through the hole in the glass.

Solomon wagged its tail happily.

But instead of eating it, Solomon picked up the meat and brought it over to Sierra, dropping it at her feet.

Seeing Sierra just standing there with her phone, Solomon nudged the meat closer with its nose.

Back in the day, if it messed up jumping through the fire hoop, even just landed wrong, It would get punished.

But now, all it had to do was give it a try, and even if it didn’t nail it, the humans would clap and cheer, calling it a superstar.

It just had to stand up and mess around with its paws, and these people would happily shell out cash for beef and mutton.

Sierra saw the chat getting heated over this and couldn’t help but feel amused.

“Solomon’s been soaking his paws every day now, so they’re not stinky anymore. Plus, all the zoo animals get a bath every month, so you really don’t have to worry about any bad smells,” Sierra said.

As she spoke, Sierra picked up the beef, now covered in dirt, washed it off in the pool nearby, and handed it over to Solomon. “Not for me, you have it.”

It was still morning, and Solomon had to eat tens of pounds of meat every day. It wasn’t full yet, so when Sierra passed, it didn’t hold back; it opened its jaws wide, gave it a couple of chomps, and gulped it down.

Sierra had been streaming all morning, and when someone in chat asked about the next pet owner live session, she realized it had been almost a week since she last did a collab with pet owners.

After thinking it over, Sierra said, “How about Saturday night?”

Once the stream ended, Sierra updated her channel page with the time for the upcoming session.

After working into the afternoon, Sierra headed over to the security booth to fetch Payton when she suddenly got a call from the delivery guy.

“Is this Ms. Sterling? I’ve got a package for you. Can you come sign for it?” the delivery guy asked.

Sierra didn’t think much of it. Ever since she moved overseas, her deliveries had been piling up like crazy.

She often bought things for the animals out of her own pocket, and sometimes she’d even dress them up in custom little dresses for photos.

But when Sierra got to the door and saw a package the size of a bike, she couldn’t help but ask, “Excuse me, are you sure this is for me? I don’t remember ordering anything this big.”

The delivery guy recognized Sierra right away. He’d been a little grumpy about lugging such a huge box, but when Sierra spoke softly, he sounded a lot nicer.

“Honestly, I have no idea. But your name and number are on the label, so it’s definitely not a mistake. Maybe someone sent you a present,” he said.

“Mind if I open it to check what’s inside?” Sierra asked,

The delivery guy nodded and popped open the back of his bike. Ryan, who was at the security booth, saw what was going on and quickly came over to help.

Together, they managed to get the package down.

The delivery guy handed Sierra his box cutter.

Ryan leaned in, curious. “Did a friend send you some kind of local specialty? This thing’s pretty heavy.”

No sooner had Ryan finished speaking than one of the packages was opened..

Inside were beautifully wrapped clothes.

Sierra frowned and opened another box, finding it packed with jewelry.

And they were all international luxury brands, seriously expensive.
