Betrayed by My Mafia Brother novel Chapter 33

Chapter 5

“Excuse me, is Ms. Montgomery the one who called the police?”

I nodded. “Yes, that’s me.”

The officer pulled out an arrest warrant and turned toward Zoe, who was standing behind him.

“Zoe, you’re under arrest for intentional assault and extortion. Please cooperate and come with us for

further investigation.”

Zoe’s face instantly drained of color.

She screamed in terror, clinging to Blake’s arm as if it were her last lifeline.

“Blake! Help me! I don’t want to go to the police station!”

“Blake, tell them it’s a misunderstanding! It’s all a misunderstanding!”

Blake’s face turned ashen.

His girlfriend was about to be taken away by the police in front of all his friends.

This was more humiliating than a slap in the face.

He turned abruptly, his teeth clenched, and said in a low, almost snarling voice, “Sophia, do you really have to

make this so final?”

I stared coldly at him, silent.

He took a deep breath, turned to the police, and forced a smile.

“Officer, this is a misunderstanding. It’s all a misunderstanding.”

!

“This is my sister, and this is my girlfriend. They have a little disagreement, but I’ve already spoken to Zoe

about it.”

As he spoke, he tried to block Zoe with his body.

“Look, it’s late. Let’s just handle our family matters privately.”

Then, he turned back to me, his voice pleading, nearly begging.

“Sophia, can you do me a favor?”

“Let the officers leave first, and we can talk about this at home.”

He thought I’d cave in, like I always had before, for the sake of his ridiculous “pride.”

He thought I’d still care about the so-called “sibling bond” we shared.

But he didn’t know that when I was locked in that filthy, smelly storage room, beaten and bruised, any shred

of that bond had already been worn away.

I looked at him, and said to the officer word by word, “Officer, this isn’t a misunderstanding.”

“The injuries on my body are documented in the hospital’s injury report.”

“She extorted one million from me, and there’s a bank transfer record.”

“I demand that this be handled immediately, according to the law.”

My words landed like a sharp slap across Blake’s face.

His expression froze in an instant. Shock, disbelief, and then sheer humiliation replaced his pleading.

The officers ignored his attempts to stop them and stepped forward. One of them slapped the handcuffs on

Zoe, who was still screaming.

“Let go of me! Do you know who I am? My boyfriend is Blake Montgomery!”

“Blake! Save me! Blake!”

Zoe was dragged out of the villa by two officers, crying and struggling.

Her frantic screams echoed through the dead silence of the living room, cutting through the stillness with a

jarring intensity.

He froze in place, like a statue,

All his friends watched with a complex mixture of sympathy, ridicule, and amusement.

In that moment, I shattered his pride and crushed it beneath my feet.

Finally, after Zoe’s cries faded away, Blake suddenly turned around.

His once-clear eyes were now bloodshot, filled with towering anger and resentment.

“Sophia!”

He roared at me, his voice hoarse and distorted with fury.
