Chapter 115
Demain POV
“Did Cora visit this morning? i thought she was at work” Oddball called out as he sat eating
his breakfast
“Cora’s at work, what’s up?” I asked, as I sat down, about to dig into my food
“These eggs are Cora’s creation, if not her, then who?” Before I could say a word, Scones beat
me to it.
“Like father, like daughter, who do you think would have made them? Even when I follow Cora’s recipe, I still don’t get the eggs even close to hers or Demetris. Scones sat at the table
with a huff
“Demetri, you helped in the kitchen?” One of the club members asked.
“He did, but only the eggs. I kicked him out before he could show me up on anything else.” Scones groaned out as she took a mouthful of eggs. What’s with these people? Can’t they make scrambled eggs, the easiest thing besides spaghetti to make?
That’s how breakfast went, and I was stuck in Hacker’s security room, come office for the rest of the day. I didn’t see Scones all day, not since breakfast. Lunch was brought to us, and we continued to work on the plan for the next delivery driver run. We had a plan with the drones. My men will arrive tomorrow and will go with us on the road trip. Everything was in place for us to have a great weekend ride. They are even bringing my Harley in so I can go on the ride, and I am hoping to ask Scones if she would like to be my passenger.
The guests for the party started arriving, and Hacker suggested we wrap up for the day. A quick shower and a change into a clean shirt and jeans, and it was back downstairs. Hacker dragged me to the bar and joined the party. He knew I would have headed to the kitchens, and as he said, they were busy and didn’t need me in there as a distraction. I gave up on trying to get close to Scones.
The sexual tension was building inside of me. I had a semi all night long that twitched, a reminder it needed some attention. Each time Scones walked in the room with a tray of food, keeping the party food flowing. Scones works hard, and since I had seen her very early in the morning and it was now getting very late at night, that’s a very long day for her, to be on her feet, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Scones gave me cheeky grins and smiles all night.
“Treat her right, that woman’s been through hell and back.” Hacker said, when Scones gave

me another one of her smiles, that had my d**k twitching again.
“I intend to, if Scones will have me. She’s the first woman to make my d**k roar to life in a very long time. My hand got more attention than most of the women who have been on my arm for appearance’s sake. Most lie later, saying she was more than arm candy, and I never corrected the tabloids. The tabloids are going to write any fiction they like if it sells the magazine. If you believed the tabloids, I have fathered several children out there, and I’ve been married or engaged so many times I lost count. I hope that Scones will give me a chance, and not believe the tabloid fodder.” That was one of my worst fears: that Scones believes the news about me and turns her back, regardless of our shared desire.
The party was winding down. Oddball and Strike had left to go back to the house. Oddball hadn’t slept there yet; it would be their first night together. I started searching for Scones, hoping she hadn’t finished up, and snuck off to bed after all the teasing that had gone on all
night.
The kitchen was busy, but there was no sign of Scones. My heart dropped to my stomach as I thought I had missed my chance.
“You looking for Scones?” A woman asked, as she turned her head from the sink and looked
at me.
“Yes, is she around?”
“Just finished up, if you are quick, you can catch her before she goes to bed. Second floor, four doors down on the left-hand side.” The woman wiggled her eyebrows at me, and I think I blushed; I certainly felt heat in my cheeks. The room laughed at me as I turned to hunt down
Scones.
One, two, three, four.
I stood outside the door, my hand raised to knock; doubt had me hesitate briefly.
“Get a grip, Demetri, you can stare down a group of men in a boardroom, you can handle a
little woman.”
Two solid knocks on the door, and I waited, and waited, and waited. I tried again, three
knocks this time.
The door flew open, and there stood my angel, dressed in a towel, hair still wet from her
shower.
“Get in here, before someone sees you.” Scones grabbed my arm and pulled me in, not that I would have resisted.
Chapter 115
Before I could say a word, Scones was on me, grabbing my shirt, pulling me to her, and capturing my lips. She pushed her tongue against my lips, asking to be let in, and I opened my mouth. Scones tongue invaded it, danced with my tongue, my shaft pulsed hard against my zipper, and if I didn’t loosen my pants soon, I think I will have a permanent zipper mark down my length.
Scones pulled back and searched my face.
“What took you so long?” Scones asked, huh? What did she mean?
“I went to the kitchen, and you were gone. The ladies told me where to find you.” Scones groaned.
“Big mouths, they have been revving me up all day long, and it got worse as the night wore on, and they got a few drinks under their belts. Thought you would have found out what room was mine yesterday.” Scones huffed and turned back into the room, pulling out the hair dryer and turning it on, as I had just been dismissed.
I moved forward and took the dryer from her. Scones didn’t complain, she sat and waited to see what I would do. I remember doing this for Dianne, who loved it when I dried her hair and massaged her scalp. I hope Scones loves it just as much.
Scones lean back, let her hair drape over the back of the chair, giving me full access. I ran my fingers through her hair with one hand, and I blow-dried it. When I was happy, it was close to dry, so I picked up the brush and used it to finish drying it. This brought back so many good memories, and I was happy not to be making new ones with Scones.
“You have done this before,” Scones stated, looking at me in the mirror, having sat up straight when I grabbed the brush.
“Yes, Cora’s mum loved getting her hair dried by me, and I enjoy doing it.”
“Tell me about the woman who had your heart first. I bet she was as sweet and kind as Cora
is.”
I told her how I met Dianne, the time we spent together, and some of the things we got up to This was not what I had planned when I eventually got Scones to myself, but in a way, it helped me with healing. I didn’t delve into why or how we parted; that would be another day’s story. Tonight was about the positive and happy times.
