Chapter 121

Cora came in, looking refreshed, in a way I am glad she chose to go home and shower; she had a long afternoon, I could tell by the look in her eyes. After a quick kiss and hug, I let her go and headed to the kitchen to eat and talk to Scones.
“How did Cora react when you told her about Scones?” I asked, as we sat at the bar and sipped a beer, not my preferred drink, but I needed something to do to keep me from following Cora to the kitchen.
“Better than I had hoped, but then I guess Cora’s not one to make a huge fuss, a lot like her mother in that, she would think about, stew for a while as she makes up her mind, and then nothing can change her mind, once she made her decision, it might break your heart, but that’s the risk you take, if you hurt her, Cora is like her mother, will turn her back on those who hurt her, and never turn back, she might forgive, but you would never get back to where you were before the hurt. I haven’t heard back from Dianne on any of my letters or messages. I didn’t even know Dianne was dead till Cora told me. I had stopped tracking Dianne when I realised we would never get back together, but it didn’t stop me from wanting to. I received from time to time reports on Cora’s schooling, from someone, it never had a return address, just some information and photos, like at her graduation. Never did find out who sent them, and they never mentioned that Dianne was gone by then. It had to be someone who knew what Dianne and Cora meant to
me.”
“Were there many who knew about Cora?”
“A few close friends, and who knows who Dianne told. I doubt she would have admitted I was the father to many. Dianne was too ashamed after I had to leave her behind, and then her father kicked her out, and she had to live with the guilt of the baby on her own. I don’t even know when Bruce moved in and pretended to be her husband. He must have been good at it, or his real wife was accepting of the situation, because he lived in two houses. The more I learn about it, the sicker it makes me feel. No one knew that Dianne was living with her brother.”
“This is getting confusing. But back to the subject we have moved away from. Cora was not upset?”
“Nope, but then Cora is good at hiding her feelings from me. We haven’t been together long enough, although she does have some of her mother’s traits, but mostly mine, and that’s why I can’t read her; she was too much like me.” Demetri did sound upset over that, more like he was proud that Cora had so much
of him in her.
“Good, that last thing I need is to calm Cora down and reassure her before our ride tomorrow. I need her to have a good night’s sleep. Tomorrow will be her first club run, and I want her to enjoy it.”
“I hear you, I’m taking Scones, it will be a first for both of us. It’s exciting, at the same time as worrying, I want this weekend to go well.”
“Agreed, and while we are about it, your men will be bonding too, for next week’s delivery run, will you be leaving with the?”
“No, if they need me, they will call, but I don’t see an issue for me to need to be out there; they work better when I am not under their feet all the time.” Demetri chuckled at a memory only he knew about.
Cora and Scones appeared through the door and headed towards us. Scones looked like she had been

erying, whereas Cora seemed better, food gave her back some colour, and her eyes found me, and a smile formed on her lips, not a big one, but one that told me she was glad whatever happened in the kitchen was done and dusted, and it was us time. I am all for that. I missed not picking Cora up and having to wait for what had to be said.
“Scones, are you okay?” Demetri asked, seeing her tear–stained face.
Scones snuggled up against Demetri, who wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in close.
“Shh, shh, it’s okay, I am right here, come, let’s go somewhere private and talk.” Demetri soothed Scones as she continued to cry.
Cora and I followed them. At the bottom of the stairs, Demetri scooped her up and carried Scones bridal style up the stairs, as if she weighed nothing. Moved to the second floor and down the hallway to Scones‘ room. I guess this was where Demetri had been staying. Demetri kicked the door open, walked in, placed Scones on a chair, and moved to get a glass of water for her and a box of tissues. Cora and I stood at the doorway, waiting for permission to enter.
Demetri looked up and saw us standing there.
“Get in here and close the door, Cora. I want answers, since Scones is too upset to talk.” Demetri demanded, looking at Cora with hurt, that he would take Scones over his own flesh and blood? Unbelievable.
“Demetri, I will say this only once: they are happy tears.” Cora then turned, walked out the door, looked at Demetri’s shocked face, and left to hunt down my girl. I caught up at the bottom of the stairs.
“Can we go home? I am tired of all this emotional stuff.” I nodded, and we left, climbed on my bike, and went home. I was still thinking about what just happened. Demetri thought the worst, guess tears meant only one thing, but I knew better and was shocked that Demetri thought so little of Cora. Guess his experience with women hadn’t been good.
We greeted the staff we had up at that time of night, on our way up to bed. Cora stripped and climbed into bed, not yet talking or expressing what she was feeling. I know Demetri hurt her with his harsh, accusatory
tone.
I climbed into bed and pulled Cora to me.
“Talk to me, what can I do to help?” I kissed her hair and waited, holding her close.
୮
“Give Demetri a black eye for me, or a fat lip. He needs a reason to use that tone on me. Guess I should give him a reason.” Cora said flipently.
I pulled back and had a closer look at her; this didn’t sound like she was being serious.
“Scones is an emotional woman. I didn’t expect her to be so full of tears; she always appeared to have
control of her emotions.
“What happened? I thought she was in control too. I have not seen her cry in years, yell, or get angry, but not cry. Even then, she only ever kicked people out of the kitchen. But you told Demetri they were happy tears; they didn’t sound like it.” I was confused as to why Scones was so upset.
“I gave Scones permission to move in with us, to get to know me and you, as she navigates her

relationship with Demetri. I gave her my blessing to make Demetri happy.” Cora replied, emotionless, as if she were giving a report.
“Why the tears then?”
“Happy tears, she was so worked up, ready for my rejection, that when it didn’t come, Scones was overwhelmed, and tears were her only outlet. Women can be like that, it’s called overload, you guys tend to get violent, or shout, punch walls, ladies cry.”
“So, how’s this going to work? Like three cooks?”
“No, I have stipulated no cooking. I’m concerned about my cooks leaving because Scones took over, and when they go home, I am left without a cook. Not happening, She is not allowed to cook.” Cora was kissing my neck, her hand on my shaft, playing with it, gently, and of course, it was hardening by her touch. She wasn’t aggressive, just very, very gentle, almost feather–light touching, and that had me so turned on, more than I could believe.
“Want a head job?” Cora offered, and I almost said no because I want more than a head job, and this was her first time actually asking. I didn’t want to burst her bubble with a no.
“Okay, but if you take me all the way, I get to eat your p***y when you are done.”
“Deal.” And with that sorted, and apparently talking was over, Cora wiggled down the bed and started to investigate my shaft with her hands and mouth, and boy, what a mouth, tongue and teeth she has. She had me under her spell in moments, and I am lost to the sensations she was giving me.
