After Melanie left, Xylia clenched her right hand, still covered with a medicated patch. The slight pain made. her uncomfortable, but it was much better than before.

Melanie’s words reminded her of something. Although she had agreed to stay with the Ford Mansion for now, she could only be with Orion for these few months. If it meant sacrificing her future, she wouldn’t agree to it.

With just two months left until the day she had promised to return to the Sadler family, she needed to sort out the divorce with Connor during this time.

She decided to talk to Connor the next day. Since he liked Tessa, she would step aside. He had no reason to disagree.

Xylia held her wrist and got out of bed. She applied the medicated patch again, feeling the pain slowly ease. The injury, which she had just started to heal, was now back to square one after Connor’s rough treatment.

She was angry, but she didn’t understand why he had to come to her room and throw a tantrum this morning.

Her account had gone viral because of Quezada & Co. Apparel Design. By the early hours, someone had dug up her hit–and–run incident and released evidence and dashcam footage.

In an instant, the people who had praised her turned on her, filling her comment section with insults, accusing her of ruining other people’s families.

Meanwhile, someone had leaked her and Connor’s marriage certificate, revealing their relationship and involving the Ford Group.

Nylia frowned and explained. “I didn’t release the marriage certificate.”

“Who else could it be? Do you really think Connor would let Ford Group get involved in a scandal like this? Do you think he’s stupid enough to get himself dragged into the mess?” Melanie said.
