Joshua rubbed his temples, sitting in the bright office, his exhaustion showing. He had just finished giving his assistant instructions to handle Xylia’s situation when, to his surprise, the assistant turned back before leaving the office.
“Mr. Garcia, all the negative posts about Ms. Schultz online are gone,” the assistant reported.
Joshua opened his eyes and glanced at him. The assistant handed over his tablet.
Joshua took it, his fingers sliding across the screen, only to find that all the negative posts about Xylia had disappeared–no traces of criticism, even the comments had been deleted.
This swift and decisive action didn’t seem like something Connor would do.
The assistant couldn’t help but comment, “Mr. Garcia, the person helping Ms. Schultz must be very powerful. We tried deleting posts and controlling comments ourselves, but the other side was much more thorough and efficient.”
Joshua casually handed back the tablet to the assistant and calmly said, “Investigate.”
The assistant nodded and left the office.
Joshua pulled out his phone, his eyes falling on the screensaver–a side profile of Xylia, secretly taken that day on Mount Evermore.
He murmured, “You really are loved by so many, but from now on, you’ll only be mine.”
Xylia had a restless night, and when she woke up the next morning, she looked pale and exhausted. At breakfast, Melanie and Sonny walked past her with gloomy faces, not even stopping to eat.
Connor’s mood was worse, especially when he saw Xylia. After having people investigate who had helped Xylia delete the posts, he still had no answers. On top of that, he had to go to work despite being dead tired.
*Xylia, who’s helping you?” Connor stared at her intensely.
Xylia gave him a cold glance. “What are you talking about?”
“Don’t play dumb. All the videos and posts about you were deleted. This wasn’t Ford Group’s doing, and it’s not related to the Schultz family either. Who is helping you?” Connor pressed.
Xylia stared back at him. “The posts about me are gone, so Ford Group won’t be affected anymore. Isn’t that good for you? What’s making you so angry?”
Connor didn’t expect her to talk back, and his anger flared. “Just answer my question!”
Xylia fell silent.

Orion, back to his usual cheerful self, approached Xylia and smiled, trying to comfort her. “That’s just how Connor is. Don’t worry, when he gets back, I’ll deal with him. Don’t let it bother you.”
After yesterday, Xylia understood what Orion truly cared about. But she didn’t think it was wrong for him to care about Ford Group.
What bothered her was the way Orion didn’t trust her. She had agreed to stay with Orion for three months to repay his kindness over the years, I
the idea of divorce had never left her mind.
She decided it was time to talk to Orion. “Orion, I need to talk to you,” she said seriously.
Orion immediately guessed it was something important, especially after how badly he had treated her the day before. He was ready to agree to whatever she asked to make up for it.
“I want a divorce from Connor. I hope you agree, but even if you don’t, I’m going through with it,” Xylia said calmly.
Orion looked at her in disbelief, panic flashing in his eyes. “Xylia, are you upset with me because of yesterday? I’m sorry, I only said that because I care about Ford Group. Please don’t take it to heart.”
Xylia shook her head. “Orion, it’s not about yesterday. Before you were hospitalized, we were already planning to get divorced. You’re the only one in this family who’s treated me well, and I didn’t want to keep this from you.”
Orion tried to convince her again, but Xylia made an excuse to leave after she’d finished her meal.
The butler walked over to Orion, and with a sigh, Orion shared his frustration. “She’s upset with me, isn’t she?”
The internet had no memory. After the flood of negative comments about her disappeared, things seemed to calm down.
However, Xylia soon noticed that her mentor, Chase, was becoming distant.
Previously, Chase had been very involved with her designs, even calling her to discuss issues in detail. But now, when she sent her designs over, the response was just a brief acknowledgment with no follow–up.
Xylia wasn’t sure why this was happening and assumed it was just because Chase was busy, so she didn’t bring it up.
Her wrist was healing a bit, so she decided to go to the hospital for a check–up and perhaps talk to the director about resigning.
The director had already discussed her resignation with her. While her hand might not be good for surgery anymore, she could still find a different field in medicine, and she didn’t have to quit entirely.
The director had given her time to consider it and didn’t want her to make a rash decision.
