“You’re Joshua Lynch, my Joshua. Why are you asking me that? Did that bitch say something to you? Joshua, don’t ever trust her.”
“She’s the one who messed you up before. You finally got away from her–why would you even think about taking her back now?”
Joshua wanted to believe the woman in front of him.
But ever since she walked into the hospital room, she’d been giving herself away left and right.
Her guilty glances darting everywhere, and the way she started badmouthing Xylia the moment she sat down.
She even blurted out “going back to her” in her panic.
Noelle’s desperation had laid bare everything she was really thinking.
“We need to have a serious talk,” Joshua said.
Noelle met Joshua’s eyes, and for a split second, it felt like she was staring at the Joshua she used to know.
So cold, so stern.

Outside the hospital room.
Xylia stood at the edge of the corridor, holding the baby in her arms.
The little one was probably hungry, sucking on her fingers and looking like she might cry any second.
Noticing this, Xylia handed the baby over to Kaden.
‘Big brother, can you help feed her some milk?” Xylia said.
Kaden barely had time to react before he and the little girl were just staring at each other, wide–eyed.
He shot Xylia a helpless look.
Talk about a classic case of a mom who forgets her kid as soon as she gets a man, Kaden thought.
He gave a few quick instructions to the bodyguards, then left with the baby in his arms.
Xylia wandered a few steps near the hospital room door.
Soon, the door opened.
Xylia looked up and met Noelle’s red, watery eyes.
Noelle gave Xylia a death glare and raised her hand to slap her.
The bodyguard nearby reacted instantly, grabbing Noelle’s hand and yanking it away,

Chapter 353
Noelle almost lost her balance, nearly hitting the floor.
She shot Xylia a vicious glare. “Don’t get cocky–Joshua will always be mine!”
Noelle stormed out of the hospital room, tears streaming down her face as she threw out that threat.
Xylia was totally clueless about what just went down.
The moment Noelle stormed out, Xylia slipped into Joshua’s hospital room.
oshua was propped up against the headboard, his face still a bit pale.
She hurried over, worry written all over her face.
Are you okay? Did Noelle hit you? I’ll go get the doctor!” Xylia blurted out.
ust as Xylia was about to turn away, Joshua reached out and grabbed her wrist.
oshua flashed her a soft, reassuring smile.
I’m fine, really. No need to call the doctor,” he said.
Kylia was convinced Noelle had smacked Joshua.

Since he insisted she didn’t call the doctor, she just gave him a quick once–over herself, checking him all over.
When she finally realized he was really okay, she could finally breathe easy.
oshua, meanwhile, ended up with a faint blush on his pale cheeks from all of Xylia’s fussing and hands–on attention.
Good, as long as you’re okay,” Xylia said, brushing off her hands. She gave Joshua a look, her tone unexpectedly firm.
The doctor said you can recover at home, so you’re coming home with me right now,” she insisted.
oshua was about to protest, but Xylia cut him off. “If you don’t want to, we’ve got plenty of bodyguards here–they can just ie you up and drag you back.”
oshua shut his mouth.
ometimes you just have to bow your head when you’re not in control.
Sesides, he didn’t really have the nerve to stand up to Xylia.
(ylia was all business–Joshua was out of the hospital before he even knew what was happening.
Aaron and Eliza hadn’t been idle either–they went down to the police station and handed over all the proof needed to get
oshua his new ID.
The cops even launched an investigation into Joshua’s miraculous return from the dead.
Once they confirmed that Joshua’s DNA was a perfect match for Joshua Garcia, they went ahead and issued him the new documents.
Xylia wheeled Joshua back to Garcia Villa.
He sat in the wheelchair, with Xylia pushing him along.

As they rolled into the familiar estate, he couldn’t help but feel like he belonged here.

But with his natural wariness, Joshua kept a straight face, not letting any of it show–even if he was starting to believe he’d really grown up in this place.
Xylia wasn’t all that familiar with the Garcia family estate, so she just picked out bits Joshua had told her before and reminded him.
“That greenhouse over there? Your dad built it for your mom. Back then, it almost drove your grandpa up the wall,” she said.
Joshua stared at the colorful flowers inside the greenhouse.
His face stayed blank, giving nothing away.
Xylia wheeled him over to the lawn.
“You always said this was your favorite place to play when you were little. There’s something you buried under that big tree over there. Every time I wanted to dig it up, you’d stop me,” she said.
Now that Joshua couldn’t remember anything, Xylia really wanted to go dig up that secret stash.
But seeing Joshua’s totally blank face, she was a little worried he’d suddenly get his memory back and flip out on her.
After thinking it over for a moment, she decided to let it go.
Xylia took Joshua for a spin around the villa grounds before finally heading back inside to the living room.
Eliza was there, cradling the baby, making her giggle and chatting away with them.
“Anyone hungry? I asked the kitchen to set out some fruit–come grab a bite,” Eliza called out.
Xylia wheeled Joshua over to the couch and helped him settle in.
She grabbed the fruit platter, stabbed a piece of cantaloupe with a fork, and held it up to Joshua’s mouth.
Joshua took a bite without even thinking,
It was so natural, like he’d done it a thousand times before.
As the sweet fruit hit his tongue, it suddenly hit him–maybe he was way too used to this woman.
Xylia didn’t care one bit.
She casually used the same fork she’d just fed Joshua with to take a bite of watermelon herself
“Mom, are Joshua’s documents all sorted out? Xylia asked.
Eliza pointed at the red folder on the coffee table.
“All done,” she replied.
Xylia quickly set down the fruit platter, grabbed the red folder, and flipped it open. There was Joshua’s ID, all the detaile right there.
A smile tugged at her lips.
