If Raelynn could figure it out, the others certainly could, too.
Following Sebastian's calculated words, the anger that had spiked in Seraphina over his physical contact with Raelynn evaporated instantly.
She even shot Raelynn a mocking look.
A sickeningly sweet smile bloomed across her face.
It was obvious.
Sebastian was solely looking out for her. He had stopped an out-of-control Julian from airing dirty laundry that would have tarnished her pristine reputation.
And Raelynn?
She meant absolutely nothing to him.
"He's right. Don't fall into a trap. Some people are just dying for you to slip up and reveal something they can use to their advantage," Leo finally chimed in, glaring dismissively at Raelynn.
He was still reeling from the shock of Ian confessing his feelings for her.
He couldn't fathom when or how Raelynn had managed to sink her claws into Ian Hudson behind their backs.
His gaze grew increasingly disgusted. "Some people have absolutely zero moral compass. They haven't even cleaned up their own messy personal lives, yet they're already desperately trying to latch onto a new meal ticket."
Where did Raelynn get the nerve?
Her divorce wasn't even finalized, and she was already rushing to find her next target, aiming as high as Ian Hudson?
Wasn't this a blatant betrayal of Sebastian?
Chloe Hudson's sharp voice sliced through the tension from the doorway. "Are you blind, or just missing half your brain? You're standing right next to a home-wrecking piece of trash, yet you're playing the morality police? What's your endgame here? Hoping if you kiss enough ass, she'll notice you? Or do you just enjoy the taste of garbage?"
Chloe wasn't one to be messed with.
Every single word was a lethal strike.
Leo had never been spoken to like that in his life, and his face instantly turned thunderous.
Seraphina knew Chloe was actively insulting her as well, but she brushed it off as Chloe lashing out because Raelynn had humiliated herself today.
She looked at Chloe coldly. "Ms. Hudson, there's no need to drag innocent people into this. Leo didn't mean any harm."
By now, Raelynn had completely steadied herself. She pulled her arms out of Sebastian's grasp as if she had been burned.
Ian let go first.
Making sure she felt comfortable.
