Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 334

Raelynn actually held that much sway over Faye?

And now she was supposed to grovel... to Raelynn?

She was expected to lower herself and apologize?

The patent issue might have been a miscalculation, but the situation with Sebastian was entirely Raelynn's fault! It was Raelynn's own uselessness and complete failure as a woman!

Raelynn was simply unworthy of him. Why should she be punished for being the superior option?

Preston's suggestion was a blatant, calculated attempt to humiliate her to her core.

Raelynn was equally surprised that Preston had this card up his sleeve.

It protected her secret identity as Faye while seamlessly handing her all the leverage, forcing Seraphina into a position where she had to beg.

Preston was absolutely doing this on purpose.

Because of Lily, Raelynn couldn't risk exposing herself as Faye just yet. But there was no way in hell he was going to stand by and watch Seraphina continue to trample all over her!

The tension in the air grew instantly suffocating.

Even Matilda, walking a few steps ahead, caught every word Preston said.

She cast an appraising, surprised glance at Raelynn.

Raelynn actually possessed those kinds of connections?

And she had the remarkable restraint to keep it a secret all this time.

"Sebastian..." Seraphina choked out, utterly unwilling to bow her head to Raelynn. Her eyes shimmered with unshed tears.

She looked the picture of vulnerable innocence.

Sebastian lifted his gaze, letting it rest on Seraphina's face for a brief second before turning to Leo. "Take her home. I'll handle things here."

Relief flooded through Seraphina. She instantly understood his intent.

He was protecting her. He was going to clean up the patent mess and make sure Raelynn couldn't hold anything over her head!

The real battle was yet to come.

Matilda selected a private conference room.

After dismissing the unnecessary hangers-on, she led the way inside.

She hadn't bothered stopping Seraphina from leaving, because Seraphina was no longer the crucial piece on the board.

The moment the doors closed, Matilda fixed her sharp gaze on Raelynn. "You truly have that sort of connection with Faye?"

Preston answered for her. "They're incredibly close. If you want this mess cleaned up, it's going to depend entirely on Ms. Vance's sincerity."

He wanted to make sure Raelynn held all the cards, ensuring these ruthless elites couldn't walk all over her.

Knowing Preston's formidable background, Matilda maintained a civil tone. "Sebastian bringing Seraphina tonight certainly created a stir and unfairly dragged the Croix family into the crossfire. So here's the solution: Raelynn, you will speak with Faye. We need this handled quietly and gracefully. Faye can then smooth things over with Director Moreno and Master Finch. Favors are meant to be cashed in, after all. Better to use them than let them go to waste."

The sheer, entitled arrogance of her demand sent a wave of cold mockery straight through Raelynn's chest.
