Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 347

She nonchalantly pulled her gaze away. That was their business. Since the company had been handed over to her, she wasn't going to enable Seraphina's tyrannical behavior on Sebastian's behalf.

Not firing Seraphina on the spot was already her being reasonable.

Unless Seraphina made a massive professional mistake, she wouldn't touch her.

-

Once in the car, Seraphina vented about the situation at Longstride.

"Just focus on your project," Sebastian said smoothly. "Don't worry about the rest."

Knowing he did this to settle the conflict for her moved her, but it still felt like a thorn lodged deeply in her chest.

That was Longstride.

Raelynn had gained massive wealth and social status overnight, and it disgusted her.

"Can Raelynn really manage a company that large? Isn't it too much for her?" Seraphina asked, suppressing her frustration.

Sebastian's gaze drifted toward the window. "Whether it thrives or fails, that's her business."

Seraphina bit her lip, sounding both helpless and wronged. "But she hates me. She's definitely going to make things difficult for me..."

His gaze slowly shifted back from the window. "She won't. If she has a problem, she'll handle it openly. She doesn't stab people in the back."

Seraphina's brow furrowed involuntarily. "You seem to know her pretty well, Sebastian."

She felt a surge of annoyance.

Raelynn sure knew how to play the righteous victim in front of him!

Sebastian clearly had no interest in discussing his wife and didn't respond.

Seraphina was satisfied by his silence.

Then she suddenly brought up another issue. "But what about this scandal? Will it make Director Moreno biased against me? What if he refuses to accept my PhD application because of this?"

That was her biggest fear.

Sebastian signaled the driver to start the car. "Then we'll pay him a visit."

In an instant, the gloomy clouds hovering over Seraphina vanished.

Around noon, she received a call from Adrian. "How is the patent evidence coming along?"

Even though they hadn't pressed charges yet, there was no way Raelynn was going to hand over her patent rights for free.

"I registered the patent under my own name," Raelynn replied. "I signed a non-disclosure agreement at the time. Once I submit it, it'll prove I filed it long before she did."

Adrian was relieved.

Then he immediately switched gears and started barking orders. "What are you waiting for then? Get over here and help me. The Lily's Hope Foundation is organizing an outdoor event, and I need an extra pair of hands."

Professor Alistair Finch had established The Lily's Hope Foundation shortly after Lily was born.

Since Lily had been a sickly child, the professor wanted to do good deeds by providing financial support for critically ill children, hoping to build good karma for his granddaughter.

Since it was for Lily's sake, Raelynn was more than happy to help.

That afternoon, she carved out some time to head over.

The moment she arrived, Adrian's assistant, Andy, hurried over with a complicated expression. "The Director is seeing a guest right now..."
