The scandal had been massive; of course he knew about it.
The surgical robot project had been a catastrophic failure right out of the gate.
During its initial live trials, it had caused a fatal medical accident.
That alone was enough to permanently sever any future partnerships.
If Sebastian hadn't stepped in with a god-tier PR save, Seraphina's name would have been blacklisted from the medical field forever.
It was obvious how utterly furious Mr. Flynn Sr. must be.
"I heard he was demoted and transferred out of headquarters. The old man is ruthless even to his own grandson," Julian noted, having caught wind of the internal corporate bloodbath.
Leo had suffered a massive blow this time.
Not only had he bled millions of dollars, but he was stripped of his rank and exiled to a minor branch office.
Seraphina bit her lip and lowered her head, looking perfectly devastated. "It's all my fault. If I hadn't misjudged the equipment suppliers, Leo would never have been dragged into this mess."
She genuinely had no idea where she stood with Leo now.
If he resented her for ruining his career, it would be a disaster for her future plans.
Sebastian said nothing.
He merely spun his silver lighter between his fingers. He had known about Leo's exile from day one.
Leo wouldn't be seeing the inside of a boardroom or trusted with any real power for years.
A corporate exile was a far worse punishment than losing a few million dollars.
It was a brutal price to pay.

The symposium went off without a hitch.
Raelynn kept a low profile throughout the entire event. She listened intently, gaining massive insights from the lectures. It also crystallized exactly why Dr. Evelyn Hayes was revered as a national treasure.
Winning a Nobel Prize in her sixties was no small feat.
Her contributions to the domestic medical field were simply staggering.
As the event concluded, Raelynn packed her bag.
She was just about to go find Director Moreno when a terrified scream ripped through the front of the hall: "Dr. Hayes!"
"Oh my god! Dr. Hayes fainted!"
But Seraphina blocked her, her face twisting into a nasty glare. "This is Dr. Hayes! You're seriously trying to steal the spotlight right now? Raelynn! Stop delaying her treatment!"
Seraphina knew exactly how much power and prestige came with saving someone like Dr. Hayes.
She assumed Raelynn was swooping in just to steal the glory!
Raelynn's blood boiled.
This was a matter of life and death for a pioneer of the medical field, and Seraphina was actively wasting precious seconds. Her face turning to ice, Raelynn violently shoved Seraphina out of the way, grabbed Dr. Hayes, and swiftly turned her head to the side.
She didn't even flinch when vomit coated her hands.
Seeing Raelynn taking over, Seraphina panicked about losing the credit.
She lunged forward to physically grab Raelynn.
"Where is security?! Kick her out of here!"
Being grabbed and yanked away when seconds mattered pushed Raelynn over the edge. Her stunning features hardened into absolute fury. She spun around, raised her arm high,
and slapped Seraphina across the face with everything she had.
"Are you calm now? If you are, get the hell out of the way!"

I think for as slow as the beginning was, their turning point is just so fast... really hope we actually get to read about R and S and their rekindle.... we did not read 950 pages for their story to be sidelined. Im for this sideline story, but it if it's to separate from the main characters and their story, please make it separate book....
Author please update more chapters...
I really like Zella, she is becoming a good friend to Raelynn. Ian needs to go. The relationship with Chloe is confusing. Some chapters they are cousins, sometimes they're sibling. A little confusing....
Julians role as big brother- I feel comes from a genuine place, but in a relationship thats is just as stained as Raelynns and Sebastians. It hard for me to connect to his big brother role as he too was such a problem before. And while they talked a little bit, the conversation did not give me the believe there was resolution between Raelynn and Julian. For a brute, he should make his feelings clear about the situation to Raelynn and then step back, until there is more foundation for him to stand on....
Knife in my heart. I hurt for Raelynn. She has made it this far, but how much does she have in her, everyone has a breaking point. Some back of me hopes the author is joking to lighten the mood after so many intense chapters, but thats not this kind of story or couple....
My heart cannot take this. This, cannot be how it ends with these too. They need resolution with each other. Raelynn needs to be more humanize with Sebastian. We know she is hurt, but this is the branch. She needs all these answers, if not for them to be together, then for Lily to have both her parents. Stop with the mind games Raelynn!...
Its like the story is just repeating itself...
Timeline is getting lost for me. So many treasured little memories Raelynn has but yet, he was gone for years ? Anyways... still rooting for them! These two need a heart to heart. Lily "forgetting" someone, not possible in this day and age and I hope thats not their storyline....
Sebastian, the man of few words.... needs to find all the words! Needs to fight for her! On note, seven years seems like a long time for this master plan (which I am sure goes back much farther). Rereading this novel, and it seems like everything has played out in a 5-8 month time span. And I feel like all Sebastian's doings/ plan have not been revealed. I hope we get to see the whole picture and have the resolutions we hope. But seven years of mistreatment, I just don't see Raelynn fully coming back. If these was 2-3 years, maybe, and I know it changes some characters around, but it would still work. Rooting for them!...
