Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 565

Quentin's expression hardened as he cast a long, scrutinizing look at Seraphina. That look made her face pale even further.

She never expected Cordelia to be so blatantly ruthless.

Even though she was now operating under the title of the 'Yves heiress,' Cordelia hadn't given her a shred of dignity!

Instead, she had publicly shredded her past.

Cordelia was famously known in the business world as a smiling tiger who executed her strikes with terrifying speed. She let out a light laugh. "Mr. Yves isn't from Kingsford, so it's entirely understandable you wouldn't know. My family is rooted here, so naturally, we have a much clearer picture of things than... the Yves family does."

As she spoke.

She tilted her head to look at Julian, who was frowning deeply and trying to stay out of it.

"Julian is Mr. Croix's friend, after all. He knows the details better than anyone."

The veiled jabs and open mockery in her tone were enough to make anyone want to sink into the floor.

Julian's face darkened slightly. By instinct, he glanced at Raelynn. If they were really keeping score, didn't that mean he had been an accomplice to the cruelty?

He said nothing.

Sebastian, the supposed 'main character' of this drama, showed no signs of discomfort. Instead, he remained detached, acting like a mere spectator to the chaos.

Quentin, however, understood everything now.

Sylvia gently patted his shoulder. "It's alright. Since we are all sitting together now, I'm sure things have been settled."

Blanche rushed to do damage control. "Mrs. Hudson, you make it sound as if our Sera has no morals. How can anyone control matters of the heart? It's simply a case of meeting the wrong person first."

Those words caused varying shifts in the expressions around the table.

Cordelia's smile widened, though her tone remained jokingly conversational. "If we go by your logic, Blanche, then what's the point of the institution of marriage? We might as well regress to a primitive society where people can just sleep with whoever they want. Bouncing from bed to bed would just be considered a special talent, then."

"..."

It was brutally direct.

Blanche's face contorted in sheer horror.

Even Seraphina had to bite her lip hard.

Was Cordelia's 'bouncing from bed to bed' comment directed at her...?

Struck a violently raw nerve.

Ian's motion of sipping tea slowed to a halt.

Raelynn's eyes darkened.

Even Sebastian, sitting right beside her, slowly lifted his eyes. His gaze was unreadable, masked by a layer of frost that betrayed zero emotion.

"Is this how you educate your child?"

Evelyn, who had been silent, shot a freezing glare across the table.

Her tone was suddenly razor-sharp, her eyes radiating a crushing authority.

An icy chill instantly ran down Blanche's spine.

"Actions speak louder than words. If the roots are rotten, the tree won't grow straight. If this is how you think, what kind of twisted morals could your child possibly learn?"

Evelyn was genuinely furious.

The amulet was on Seraphina, meaning the possibility of her being the heiress was uncomfortably high right now. Seeing Blanche openly attack Raelynn, who was the actual victim here, ignited a blazing fury in Evelyn's chest.
